    FAQ
    I normally see some personal F.A.Qs as pretentious. So let me clarify that the reason mine is being made is so people can get answers to common questions quicker. It's easier for you and it's easier for me.

    Where do you buy your clothes?
     I buy most of my attire locally. I try to get one of a kind clothes and I prefer buying from designers of quality. Melbourne has a lot of wonderful clothing designers. Also some clothes I get through modeling wo0t. Anything else.. I just make myself.

    Why is your profile so pink?
    Pink is the sex! ^.^

    Where do you get your footwear from?
     Again locally. A good tip though, sex stores sell alot of awesome footwear often. There are alot of cool sites that sell shoes, it's just a matter of hunting them down.. google perhaps?

    Where do you get your synthetic hair?
     I make most of it. All of the dreads and cyberlox. The rest is either wigs or my real hair. I don't like to share all of my resources. I'll be selling dreadfalls and cyberlox again on my website soon.

    What brands of make-up do you use?
     To be honest..any as long as it works, I am not a brand nazi. As for big name brands I love the colours of Mac, Napoleon, Gorgeous and Pola.

    Why don't you have a lot of piercings anymore?
     A year ago I had a heart operation. I am better now :) But I lost most of my mods when I was unwell and going through tests and the actual operation itself. But don't worry, they'll be back with vengeance.

    Do you have any tips for new models?
     Ok, first things first.. don't come to me saying "I wish I could model but I'm too...yadda yadda" We are all too yadda yadda. If you want to model then model, it doesn't mean you have to try to be a supermodel. Just find your own style and let your personality shine through your images. Don't expect lots of paid work to start with..just do TFP (time for prints) first and build your portfolio and your name. Or hell with modeling as a job..do it for yourself for fun. I do paid work of course and commercial work but that's the business side of it. I model primarily for the art of it.

    Who takes your photos?
     Photographers? I always state under the photo who took my pics. I also take a lot of my own pics which I also state.

    Can I use one of your photos on my myspace or (insert blog or site)?
     OK, I am a firm believer in giving credit to where it is due. So anyone who asks me this before going ahead and posting my pics has my respect. I dont own the copyright to all of my images, so before posting any of my work anywhere (even if its to promote me, thank you btw) you'll need to ask me first. All promotion is extremely appreciated :)

    What is your real name?
     Joey Joe Joe Jr Shabadoo.

    Why don't you use your real name?
     It's because my name is Countess, on and offline. It isn't my birth name..but Countess is who I am now. My mum calls me Squeak since I was a baby and my bf calls me Puppy. All of my friends call me Countess, it feels wrong when they don't.

    Are you single?
     No and in less time it took to ask me you could have your answer already if you just scrolled down a little on my page. I state it twice I believe. krieg-engel is my love :) The better of two evils.

    What is your sexuality?
     I am pansexual, so no sexual preference. Some people mistake this for bisexual but it is more than that. I don't see sexual partners by their gender I see them for who the person is. So male, female, hermaphrodite, transsexual, trans gender..it doesn't mean anything to me, it's just a person's shell. My sexual preference is my bf. But I still play with girls on the side ;) He knows of course. View his profile for a better description of our relationship if you like.

     Yep..clean my house if you like and pay me to let you, ha! :P

    What made you goth?
     Erm.. the same thing that made you not goth? I'm alternative because I was always unusual. It was inevitable for me to end up looking like art when my whole life revolves around art. For many years people thought it was faze for me..for some people it is. My family all know this is just who I am and they respect that. It doesn't make me any different inside..I'm just extremely open minded with most things.

    Are your boobs real?
     There's no such thing as imaginary boobs.

    And I'll end with a statement I get alot.
     I used to think you were a bitch or a snob but now I know you aren't. Or You look like a bitch or a snob. OK, if I look like one..then that's your problem not mine because you didn't take the time to get to know me. Looks can be deceiving. I admire the honesty in the people who say they used to think i was a snob :p I'm glad you took the time to see I am not. In real life I may come off that way because some people say I look intimidating. Well really I'm often just shy around new people. Online if I don't reply right away or at all, it doesn't mean I don't like you or anything, it just means I was really busy.

What makes Countess Grotesque?
Welcome to my page and a thank you in advance to anyone who bothers to read this.
I will attempt to give you a little insight into my mind and personality.
What you absorb and what you reject will be up to your own discretion.
Just don't judge a book by it's cover, unless it's fabulously pink and covered in glitter. Not unlike myself ;)

I live in the very art orientated city of Melbourne, Australia..
I also share my home with my pet Goliath stick insect..Her name is Steve Peetree Takito even though she's a girl :P

My life revolves around art, which may be quite obvious in my images.
I have always been an artist using different mediums and styles to express myself.
I am predominantly a model and make-up artist. Creating and developing concepts on a daily basis is what keeps me motivated.

I see my body as my canvas. You see, I am displeased with my form, so I modify it to somewhat correct the faults.
I believe the human form is a base for your own individual evolution. I embrace my body's synthesis.
I am vain and I am obsessed with appearance. Though my perception may be warped and my perception may differ from your own.
I don't feel human, I don't want to be human.

I can see art in anything and I can see beauty within where some fail to recognize.
I enjoy things that are aesthetically pleasing.
I'm attracted to androgyny and anything that sparkles or glows.
I spend a lot of my social life in fetish clubs, goth clubs and raves. There is never a dull moment when you realize life is what YOU make of it. :)

I am an honest person and quite often a blunt person.
I have a very zany personality and could find the humour in almost anything.
Philosophy and psychology interest me greatly. I study fetishism and sexology in my spare time. I enjoy figuring out what makes people tick.

I dislike weak minded, closed minded people. I despise those who believe that by putting others down, they're making themselves seem more important.
I detest liars and people who intentionally harm other living creatures, humans and animals alike.
I am ashamed to be human because it affiliates me with such negative creatures.

I turn to mush when I see adorable baby animals.
I am a being of integrity, affection and determination.
I'm a complex perfectionist by nature with an ever changing, over analytical, introverted extroverted sense of self.
I am a very misunderstood person and am judged quickly by how I look.
Most people judge incorrectly.
I am not pretentious, I am confident but sometimes shy.
My goals and beliefs often change but I always know exactly who I am and what I want.

I was born into a world of art, I live it, breath it, create it and see it in everything.

I am primarily a model and make-up artist. Creating concepts on a daily basis is my passion. I also dabble in other forms of art such as photography, traditional and digital art, hair design, clothing design and styling.
