Wendy Carr - Lead Vocals/Keyboard
D.O.B. - 03/04/88
About - Wendy was asked to join the band at the end of April and has enjoyed playing with the band ever since. Music plays a huge part in her life, having grown up with it, as her dad is an accomplished pianist/organist an was Principle teacher of Music the Gordon Schools in Huntly for something like 20 years!
She appreciates all sorts of music, from jazz to rock to classical to songs from the musicals - the list goes on and on. At the moment her main influences are opera singer Katherine Jenkins, jazz legend Frank Sinatra, etc, while also listening to things like Metallica and of course Guns N' Roses. Unlike so many people nowadays, she really loves her classical music and is inspired by the likes of Mozart, Shostakovich, Rachmaninov and Bach.
She'd like to thank the band for giving her this opportunity of rocking out with them and she looks forward to future gigs with them.
Equipment - Wendys Amazing Voice, Various Mics, and Keyboard Yamaha PSR 350
Daniel Stevenson - Rhythm/Lead Guitar
D.O.B - 06/07/88
About - Daniel was one of the founders of the band, although in the early days he recieved alot of criticism from Johnny, this hurt but it really gave the drive to get better. Daniel started as the singer for the band, and did quite a few gigs this way, but the band knew that it was going nowhere with him singing, as it was not so good, so we then got Wendy. This allowed him to be more experimental with the guitar parts. It also let him communicate with Thomas on a more musical level.
Guitar - Gibson SG Standard. Uses Line 6 Spider 2 amp.
Influences - Ben Harper, John Butler, Thin Lizzy, Metallica, Trivium, Iron Maiden, Jack Johnson, Beethoven, Johnny etc.
Steven Dempster - Bass Guitar

About - Steven joined the band and gave Group Therapy the boost they needed. He loves playing bass and you can see that when he performs live gigs. He is inspired by heavy metal bands such as Metallica and Trivium, but he also likes funk artists and funky pop bands such as Level 42. He has high potential for the band with his non-stop ideas and his love for all music.
Bass - Cort C4 LTD Tanglewood Elf Bass. Amp is a Laney HD max 120 watts H n' H electronics Cabinets 2 x 150watts. Effects used are Fender chromatic tuner, Boss od 1 Bass, Morley Bass Dual Wah and Danelectro Free Speech talk box

Thomas Gordon - Rhythm/Lead Guitar
D.O.B - 11/01/88
About - Tom originally joined the band as a second guitarist standing in for one single gig. However, he felt sexual jamming with the boys from GT and decided to stay. Tom plays an Epiphone Les Paul through a Fender DSP Stage 160 Amp, and takes major influences from the likes of the following:
Jimmy Page, Rory Gallaghar, Tony Iommi, Joe Perry, etc, as the music from around that era makes Tom happy. However, more recently, Tom likes to listen to the likes of Saul Hudson (VR), Synyster Gates/Zacky Vengance (A7x), Matt Heafy/Corey Beaulieu (Triv) etc. Although GT have become less heavy with the introduction of Wendy to the band, the 'Mellow Shit' is much liked by Tom and he looks forward to making more in the future! Peace out -G-

Sounds Like
Group Therapy:
Unless you think otherwise and if so tell us who you think we sound like?
The band began in the early year of 2003 when Calum needed a band: he was alone in the world of drummers. He discovered fellow friend Duncan Harper and they jammed at each others house re-sighting covers and being rockers.
After a few months Duncan and Calum found Daniel who is the heart of Group Therapy. The three of them with their young beating hearts, rocked on in the garage in the summer months.
Yet the band struggled to find a bass player. They found a slightly older Johnny M who didnt really join the band, but jammed with the 3 for a small space of time. Despite the short amount of time for which they jammed with Johnny, the experience gave Calum, Duncan and Daniel a broader insight into music.
Johnny then left for Perth College and the band of Calum, Daniel and Duncan needed a new bass player. After weeks of looking, the three found the one and only Steven Dempster, with his amazing bass skills. The band was off on a rollercoaster - or so they thought. Due to personal reasons and conflict in the band, Duncan left. Yet this did not stop the other 3 youngsters rocking out. They got a taste for gigging, loved it and wanted more...
Thomas Gordon was just waiting to be found as Group Therapy's second guitarist. The band of 3 became 4, and they, all on a high, made the heaviest music ever, and rocked out at gigs and whilst recording. But somehow the band felt they were stuck like it wasnt going anywhere. The band had there own songs, but progress was slow...
...until Miss Wendy Carr was found. Group Therapy asked Wendy if she would perform with them at the School Talent Show covering Guns N' Roses' November Rain. Wendy has brought a very positive mood towards the band. Bringing soul and life to the band, she has made the rest of GT feel like there is hope with her strong vocals and her endless imagination.
It is now 2006 and the band is at its highest point with the demo finished and three songs which will hopefully pull this local Huntly band to fame and success.

Tommorow Wendy will head out to mintlaw to add the singing and keyboard parts, and then the songs will then at last be finished. After this, Group Therapy intend to make new and fresh material. 10 June 2006
Group Therapy tonight played a gig in Huntly. The sound was amazing with the use of the equipment from the loft in Keith, many people said the bands which played sounds really good and many people commented on Group Therapys version of Dani California by RHCP. Yet there was a very poor turn out at the gig, Yet the band sold 30 pounds worth of cds Tabula Rasa EP. The drummer for Group Therapy could not make the gig because he was at the download festival, but Luke Coursey filled in for him and the band believe that it was their best performance yet!
Thanks for wanting to be my friend and taking the time to listen. Keep checkin back for more upcoming news and new material. Let me know what you think of my music. You can add any of my songs to your page by clicking on add below the song you want.
