Groupthink is the result of five talented guys challenging each other to go to the next level every time they write and any time they play. Blending originality with a knowledge and respect for what has worked in the past, Groupthink continues to raise the bar for original music in St. Louis.
"Groupthink is a band of solid musicians that play a brand of hard rock that goes beyond the typical chords and progressions. The rhythm section is very talented and plays with a lot taste and style that will never go unnoticed but doesn't over power the rest of the band. The two guitars seem to put layer upon layer of chords and unique voicings over the top, as well as driving the harmonic force that makes their songs exciting. Their vocalist does the perfect job of mixing in great melodies that are simplistic and well matched in contrast to the more complicated chord structures of the band." - Darryl Zero, Emergenza ; May 9, 2005

This is going to be a great night. The show starts at 5:00. We'll go on later around 7:00 maybe. We won't know until the show date exactly what order the bands will play. There will be a lot of great bands to see and we'll be there too. Tell the door guy at the Fubar that you are there at our invitation (or we don't get credit for bringing friends which is the name of the game)...
We continue to book shows. The next event will be fun and crazy stuff at Broadway Bistro Zoo on September 12th. Fun and sexy adult entertainment. More info to follow shortly.
What's up? We're producing our new album, Re-Entry...and so are you! We'll be posting pre-production recordings of our new songs for the next month or so and are looking for your input! Uploads have already started, so check out our page for daily updates! All feedback is helpful, so don't be shy!

yeah, we still have a lot of songs we need to finish recording. We just launched the site about two weeks ago though. Im liking the new sound you guys have. Tracey McNeely introduced me to the band and Chris i think about two years ago. Any shows coming up close to the illinois side or st louis?
hey dudes, we tracked drums and bass at Sawhorse Studios (w/ Jason McEntire [Ludo, Story of the Year]), guitars and piano at Webster University Studios (w/ Ben Majchrzak), some weird-sounding guitar tracks at Dave Simon's Rock School (w/ Ben Majchrzak), and vocals in Ben Majchrzak's bedroom. hahaa
It's been a real hodge-podge album, but it's coming together.
