"It's like Jason Mraz and Bob Dylan making out in a basement while listening to Townes Van Zandt." --Hannon Smith I make music because music makes me happy. I’m bad at bragging, so you’re stuck with this lovely one-on-one self description instead of some classy bio. I started playing talent shows and stuff when I was a kid, but I was too busy being awkward during adolescence to do music. Mom and Dad got me a guitar for my 15th birthday and dabbled here and there, but it wasn’t until about 17 that I got into writing my own songs. Childhood was a lot of country and classic rock, and over the years I’ve been into hip-hop, bluegrass, alternative...pretty eclectic. Because I like so many different kinds of music, I do what I can to draw from each to create a style that folks can enjoy regardless of their musical preference. I just released a studio album, Innocent Insinuations, featuring Drew Bruchs (Bass) and Glen Shackley (Producer, Drums). We play anywhere and everywhere, from sidewalks to dive bars, cafés to classy restaurants, little parks to large amphitheaters. Born in raised in a small Northern California town, Murphys, I'm now in Santa Barbara, where I graduated from college in 2008. Trying not to go broke, but as long as I get to play for people I’ll be okay with it.Drop me an email-- gauchofrogmusic@gmail.com Add my Facebook page
