Growing American Youth started back in 1979 (thus the reason we are listed as 30 years old.) This myspace account was set up by the adult advisors of Growing American Youth. This is a great way for youth across the area to see each other and for us to get info out.
We have expanded our meeting times, days and locations. We offer a weekly meeting in the Central West End on Thursdays, and monthly meetings in St. Louis and St. Charles County. Details below. Youth are welcome to attend any and all of our meetings. The meetings are open - no need to sign up ahead of time.
ST. LOUIS CITY We meet EVERY Thursday night from 7-8:30pm at Trinity Episcopal Church 600 N. Euclid at Washington in the Central West End. Enter from the Washington side of the building. FYI We are not a religious organization. The church is generous and has historically given us a great space to meet. (Thank you Trinity!)
ST. CHARLES COUNTY The 3rd Tuesday at St. Charles Community College from 7-8:30pm. Next meeting November 17th in Student Center - Private dining room right next to the cafeteria. Room 121.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY The 3rd Saturday we meet at The Ethical Society 9001 Clayton Road just up from the Galleria. Next meeting is November 21st. Our meeting is from 2-4pm. Enter from the back side of the building where there is parking.
CONTACT US if you have any questions: message here, email growingamericanyouth@gmail.com or 314-821-3524 ext 3 We use myspace as a way also to reconnect with youth and adults who have attended Growing American Youth through the years. Give us an update on how you are doing.
For those youth just learning about us come for a visit. Bring a friend! There is no fee to attend. No need to call ahead. Just show up. Message us if you have questions. We welcome contact from parents and counselors as well.

I just saw the invite for the SEVENTH annual GSA convention, and it made me so excited and proud of St. Louis area GLBT youth and allies. I was co-president of the Kirkwood High School GSA when we implemented the very FIRST GSA convention, and I can't explain how happy it makes me to see this event continuing every year. Keep up the great work - You're doing amazing things!
