Sounds Like
Your phone ringing in an exam (on a bad day).
Vive La Fete, The Cure, that little guy who sings the funny stories with a ukelale. George Foreman. No he's the one with all the grills, but a limp handshake apparently which is surprising cos he probably eats a lot of steak, also all his kids are called George. George Formby(?) that's the one, not sure about spelling though. Defrosted architecture (on a good day).

Happy 2009. We start off the year with probably the most exciting news since Someothertimes; there is now a GRR Live DVD, recorded at London's Dry Bar in November 2008. If you ask us nicely we will include it free with Someothertimes...
****************************
GRR are proud to announce that the Someothertimes album can now be acquired digitally. We'd still prefer it if you bought the CDs, as they still look damn cool, but if you prefer to have all your music in your pocket, email us (mailGRR@gmail.com) and we'll send you the download link. It's also good for when we do gigs but don't have enough CDs left for everybody after the initial stampede.
We guess we should also wish Someothertimes a happy third birthday.
****************************
GRR are proud to unveil their latest signing while they work on getting Shilts deported from Oz. A C Daly becomes the fourth member of the band, the third to be abbreviated to just three letters, the second to wear glasses regularly and the first with no Ad(h)am's apple. Look out for the new line up in non-Alabama Birmingham very soon...
******************************* THE NEW ALBUM... THE ONLY ALBUM... 15 TRACKS FOR TO PLEASURE YOUR EARS... Now on Amazon! wow! Someothertimes on Amazon - 5 pounds including P&P. There's only a small number of these first edition albums left, when they run out we'll make some more... but if you want a piece of history (well the recent history of electro-rock-pop in Leciester) get to Amazon quicksmart.
You can still email us directly if you want one or want to know more - mailGRR@gmail.com

GRR are forging ahead with one of their new projects, the Conflict EP. This will feature music that is neither pro- nor anti-war, which neither criticises nor approves conflict, and which lets the facts speak for themselves. At present, the initial EP contains two songs from the Someothertimes album and three brand new ones. Two of them, Reconstruct and Meredith, can be found in the player. Work on the EP is continuing and new songs will be added soon. For more information, send us a message or mail GRR @ mailGRR@gmail.com.

Put this "wacky" GRR banner on your site just copy the following code: < a href="http://www.myspace.com/GRR4short" > < img src="http://www.grr4short.com/GRRanimation.gif" > < /a > delete the spaces before and after < and > and this'll appear:
GRR LIVE! You can now see exclusive live performances of Don't Know Why and Space Invaders. Head over to our YouTube page to watch the action.

Back in the day of 2k+4, Shilts got bored and gave us a call. See he'd had a blinding vision in the Bike Hut section of Halfo' . An angel posing as a 16 gear mountain bike told Messieur Shilton to summon together a band of soldiers of fortune and thus create most eclectic music in the East Midlands. He first tracked down The Crown Prince (of Koohl) a.k.a Adham Fisher who had been travelling non-stop and without sleep on Tube Trains and buses trying to conquer time. He then found the loudest drummer known to man, DClyne, who later retired from the band admist rumours that he had turned up to a rehearsal two months late with no drumsticks but with a herd of African elephants and a hareem of lascivious ladies feeding him grapes. Last called was Physcist-Philosopher JR a veteran of the NAC school of rhyming and penner of many a strange lyric.
It's been over a year now, and several gigs down. We're now in a 3 man line up after Duncan moved on, but we're looking into inviting guest muscians to play with us, particualrly after the success of guest guitarist Simon Haywood's session with us when we headlined The Shed. The three of us are also suppplemented by an army of machines which have lights and make bleepy musics and plug into each other. It's beautiful. We've now got enough equipment to play round yours... so if you want a GRR concert and you live somewhere in the Midlands area... just drop an email mailGRR@gmail.com and we'll do it if we can.
We also remix, and DJ. Use that list on the left there as a vague guide to music we'd be likely to play. For some reason, we seem to be specialising in remixes of acoustic artists at the moment, but whatever your genre, let us know if you want something alternative done to your music and we'll definitely consider it.
As well as that, we are branching out further into the world of musical entrepreneurs with hiring of instruments, cameras and ourselves for inextortionate charges. We have keyboards, synths, mixers, turntables, recorders, wires, a double bass and more that are presently simmering - get in touch if you fancy us loaning you any of that lot - prices negotiable. We also take extreme photos of acts that we like or that want us to photograph them - when we say extreme we mean from every conceivable angle due to our flexibility, agility and speed. Our pictures have already been used by Elliot Jack, amongst others - have a look at them and we'll also put some others on here soon. We will travel as well, and will do you a set of pictures for £10 or less, or you could just give us a free CD to add to our magnificent arsenal of DJ tools. We're interested in collaborations and other stuff: over the past two years we've written and produced songs with artists including Idle Thumb, NMR and Sarah Long. We remix. We also have a couple of radio shows under our belts and in July 2007 did the first podcast for the Atomicduster publication. We're also up for session work with people who need live and/or studio players - just get in touch to determine exactly who does what and for fuller details on any of the above.
See above blogs for win-win way to get hold of Someothertimes GRR's debut album.

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

Hi G R R, thanks for continuing to be a friend of Electroflex.
Some important news!
Electroflex have been back in the studio following a break from gigging and recording with new track ‘Computer Virus’.
This is the first of a series of new releases for 2009, and what better day to start on than Liz’s Birthday!
‘Computer Virus’ is a live favourite. Anyone forced to work with computers will know how evil they are and this track is Electroflex’s response to Kraftwerk’s ‘Its More Fun to Compute’. It is a bouncy number with a serious bassline, sing-along chorus and a selection of curious samples.
The track will only be up on Myspace in full for a short time. Alternatively, visit our Facebook and iLike pages where you can add the song to you playlists

Hey G R R, hope you're having a great day! Say, do you believe in God? If so, do you think it comes with a tangible science we can hope to understand one day, or should it remain a mystical concept?
