Grrrlz Rock suports the Gems by donating this year's big Grrrlz Rock Guitar Raffle funds to the league to help them buy new uniforms. (Thank you goes out to Daisy Rock Guitars for donating the sparkly purple bass to Grrrlz Rock!) Grrrlz Rock also donated $200 to Gems to rent skate world, so they can hold a fundraising event on Thursday, Oct. 23rd. GO GEMS! YOU ROCK!

GRRRLZ ROCK brings local businesses, music venues, performers and the community together to support women. It is reported to be the largest pro-women's concert series in the nation. This year is the 3rd annual, and it takes place in Lane County, Oregon.

I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D
