Heroes
Robert E. Howard - Not only did he create Conan the Barbarian and other fantasy heroes, he also wrote westerns, horror stories and historical tales of adventure. Although he died at 30, he was a widely published pulp writer. My writing style is definitely influenced by him.
"All fled, all done, so lift me on the pyre; The feast is over, and the lamps expire."
Mike Grell - My love for comics started with Issue 7 of The Warlord. It was like no other comic book. Like every issue, it had a two-page splash on pages 2 and 3, the art had movement, the action spoke for itself (no overly verbose banter between the combatants), and it was created, written and drawn by one person even though it was from DC.
Thanks alot for the add. We are extremely happy that you will be part of TABLE-CON! Have a very Merry Christmas to you and your family . I'll be in touch again soon.
have not watched the movie, but I have heard that the movie is the animated version on the books. I think they sell part one and two of the book in a set. Take care. Say hello to your family for me.
Kyle told me you're doing Inter-Fan as well. Looking forward to it. They have Aaron and I listed as creators of Percy The Nazi Whale, as opposed to Percy The Nazi Killer. We found this hilarious and will probably draw Nazi whales the whole convention. Anyways, see you there!
Ha yep, that would be the lady. Yeah we're definitely looking into it. I know Aaron and myself are doing Inter-Fan Jam '08 in Homewood in September. It's only $30 for a creator table so we thought why not. We're going to try doing a lot of cons this year because our first issue will be coming out. Good times.
This guy right here. Hope you had a good rest of the convention. I actually ended up doing an hour at the table in the Artist Alley today. I did a sketch of Burt Reynolds as Iron Man for some lady. Good times. I think we might be doing the Minnesota con instead of Ohio, thanks for the tip. Peace!
Wassssuppp GrubbMaster!!! Yes, I finally joined the 21st century. Still working on the page layout though. Your youngest still hasn't responded to my Friend request. Punk.
Hey Dave whats going on? Rene was recently at house and ha had an idea that we all should meet at my house for old times sakes. That would be you, Nino, Kevin, Stan, and whomever else would like to tag along just for the hell of it. No set date was placed since we all have busy schedules. I'll talk further with Rene and Nino about it. Will Gondor be there as well?
Hey Dave, how haveyou been. I'm going to redo my comic from scratch since I wasn't satisfied by work from then. Do you know if Kevin Gerard or Rene have a MySpace page?
