DOWNLOAD OUR E.P "DJ in Korea" for free from: www.origamisounds.com and check out all the other wonderful musicians on there. Grudle Bay riots are 20 year-olds Nathan Allsworth and Tom Hodges; originally from Oxford with a background in improvised music, they are now based in London, writing and producing in a spare room. Without the aid of computers, the electro-acoustic nature of their music results in layers of organic instrumentals with a combination of folk, jazz and soft house beats.

Attic Trax

Sep 15 2008 5:34 PM

The long wait is over! The Attic Trax debut album “Where what where” is out on CD baby from beginning of September.

Take a generous portion of Lemon Jelly and Blue States. Add a bit of Zero 7, Air and UNKLE. Finish with a sprinkling of The Cinematic Orchestra and what have you got? Attic Trax‘s debut Album “Where what where?”.

A big thank you to those that appreciate the above acts for your really supportive comments. Much appreciated. Try out the new tunes on our site.

The Exits debut single 'Neon City' out Monday! And their self titled EP. Available to download from all good stores (iTunes, HMV, 7digital etc) from Monday 11th Aug - (12 iTunes). Also buy the video!!

Kerrang! Radio - "The Ones To Watch"

"Straight into the sets for this one. A pleasant surprise and a nice stab at the dance rock hybrid so beloved of Kasabian, Primal Scream, The Music, The Sunshine Underground and errr Kharma 45. A damn fine single then and if there's any justice this will be riding the waves with The Music very soon."

Mama Shamone
http://www. myspace. com/mamashamone
“Put Mama Shamone on at any venue and they are likely to take the roof off, this was one of the best live shows I’ve seen in years - certainly one of the best in London. In my opinion these guys are destined for greatness, it felt like I was witnessing history being shaped-something was just so right about what they were doing up there.” Vibe Bar

We Yes You No
www. myspace. com/weyesyouno
“We Yes You No sing about the end of the world, the end of everything. But in an apocalypse that would sound like this I would buy god’s last EP” – Big City Redneck

Language

“"The verbosity of funk, the poetic twang of intelligent pop. The bridge between Franz Ferdinand and Smashing Pumpkins perhaps" – Bugbear

Cookshop - Zoon Van Snook EP out now!

Mar 16 2008 10:18 PM

'Scuse us for hijacking your comments box, but just thought you might like to know about the new Soundbites Vol.2 compilation coming soon from the Cookshop collective. If you're partial to cinematic/downtempo/hip hop/electronica this will undoubtedly float your boat...

The first of a monthly gig night at the Buffalo Bar hosted by Big City Redneck... You coming? Should be rather swellegant!

Buffalo Bar
259 Upper Street
Nr. tube: Highbury and Islington
21st February
£6/£5 concessions
Doors: 8.30pm – 1am

The Chap
http://www.myspace.com/thechap
“Like Underworld if they’d decided to be a lo-fi rock and roll combo instead of a stadium-selling dance act. Stunning, it’s ridiculous, but in a great way.”
Vice Mag

The Guillotines
http://www.myspace.com/headswillrockandroll
“Snarling spunk-punkers The Guillotines come across like Gallows meeting the Rat Pack, with a flame-haired Lauren Bacall wielding a bass, outside a Brighton S&M shop psyching themselves up to buy leather gimp masks. Wanton sax appeal, voodoo rock'n'roll magnetism and growling dirty lounge”
NME

Creepy Morons
http://www.myspace.com/thecreepymorons
“The thunderous blues crunch of The Creepy Morons first materialised in 2005 having risen from the ashes of Hot Tradition and The Beatings. I know its rubbish when I merely regurgitate information from a myspace, but when a band describes its influences as ‘Women, Drinking and Death’, and their sound as ‘Drunken monkeys assembling an Ikea butchers block’, I’d be daft not to.” Jon Hillcock, XFM
