"Desmond Tutu murdering a panther with his bare arse ... the saviour of Rock n' Roll" (NME)
My name is Grundy and I was a child of the eighties. I was then a child of the nineties and am now a child of the noughties. I am not a naughty child. I am very well behaved.
I have played in various bands over the last few years, most notably cult SE London legends Exit to Wave and more recently The Woe Betides with Simon Mastrantone. Myself and Simon continue to run a monthly music/spoken word/comedy night called Songs in the Dark, the original stomping ground for artists such as Jack Penate, Jamie T, Jeremy Warmsley, Emmy the Great and Diana Ross. Yeah, you heard me.
During Autumn 2007, during a down time in band commitments, I barricaded myself inside my very own Frass Studios mega-complex and resolved to make a mini-album of new material somewhat distinct from my previous work.
Seemingly unending biological, technological, economical, theological and zoological problems made the recording of the record especially difficult, and the term 'Healthy Machine', something that I strove for throughout the entire process, seemed to lend itself well to the project.
The results can be found in full above, I hope you enjoy the wonderful mess I made.
I think I make them to order? I'll finish off the replacement I'm building, and if you want to pop round you can have a play? They're not that expensive to make and it's keeping me amused.
