This July, 2009, GruntWorks Entertainment will be celebrating its second year anniversary in business.
Since it’s inception in July of 2007, GruntWorks Entertainment has completed the shooting of 3 feature motion pictures, as well as post-production on several others.
JACK RIO, a psychological thriller written and directed by Gregori J. Martin and starring Matthew Borlenghi (NBC’s DAYS OF OUR LIVES) in the title role, was shot in and around Los Angeles County in the fall/winter of 2007. The film was screened at THE CLARITY THEATRE in Beverly Hills in April 2008 and is currently seeking world-wide distribution. Other actors in the film include Mary-Kate Schellhardt (WHAT’S EATING GILBERT GRAPE), Sean Kanan (HACK!), Meadow Williams (RAVEN, LIGHT YEARS AWAY), and many others. With brief appearances by Brian Krause (WB’s CHARMED / Stephen King’s SLEEPWALKERS), Nadia Bjorlin (REDLINE, NBC’s DAYS) and Adrianne Curry (LIGHT YEARS AWAY, and of the hit reality show MY FAIR BRADY).
THE INTRUDERS, is another psychological thriller starring iconic film star, Steven Bauer (SCARFACE / PRIMAL FEAR) in a must-see performance. The film, which wrapped in mid-August 2008, was also shot in and around Los Angeles County, and is also seeking world-wide distribution. Like Jack Rio, The Intruders was also written and directed by Gregori J. Martin, with co-writer, Meadow Williams who also stars in the film as Bauer’s mysterious ex-wife, Lily. Also starring in The Intruders is Lisa Wilcox (of the A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET series), and Ruben Rabasa (THE LOST CITY) with a guest appearance by Louis Mandylor (MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING) and many many others. RAVEN, a vampire thriller written by screenwriter Aaron Pope (DARK REEL) is the latest GruntWorks production, starring Roland Kickinger (TERMINATOR SALVATION) as John Salem, Rudolf Martin (SWORDFISH / BEDAZZLED) as Lazar, the old world vampire and a return from both Meadow Williams in the title role, Raven and Steven Bauer as William, Raven's first victim. With appearances by legendary film actors Mr. Courtney Gains (CHILDREN OF THE CORN) and Ms. Dee Wallace (CUJO and THE HOWLING) and introducing Hollywood royalty, Weston Coppola Cage as the warrior vampire Thorean. The film, a cross between INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE and THE LOST BOYS was shot in February and March of this year, and is currently in post-production with an expected completion within the next couple of months and ready for distribution.
In addition to producing their own motion pictures, in the last year, GruntWorks Entertainment has also taken on two additional features, SKELETONS IN THE DESERT and MARy, also written and directed by Gregori J. Martin.
Thanks to GruntWorks Entertainment, SKELETONS IN THE DESERT, starring Ezra Buzzington (THE HILLS HAVE EYES / MIRRORS) and Meadow Williams (JACK RIO / THE INTRUDERS) in the leading roles, recently celebrated its World Premiere at UNIVERSAL STUDIOS in HOLLYWOOD and is also seeking world-wide distribution.
MARy, the teenage-driven independent horror-film, based on the infamous urban legend Bloody Mary, which was shot in the summer of 2006, is finally expected to be completed with post-production in the coming months. The film stars Abby Wathen (JACK RIO / THE INTRUDERS) in the leading role and Caroline Whitney Smith as the notorious mythological witch, Bloody Mary!
With a productive and fun-filled movie-making year or two, Gruntworks Entertainment is currently reviewing several scripts for consideration and is excited and looking forward to shooting its next feature film this coming summer!

At the helm of GruntWorks Entertainment is Actor-turned-Producer/Director, GREGORI J. MARTIN. Mr. Martin helps manage all aspects of production for GruntWorks Entertainment.
Gregori J. Martin has been producing, directing, and writing independent film and television projects for almost ten years. Some of his most recent projects include the independent motion pictures, SKELETONS IN THE DESERT, MANHATTANITES, and MARy (based on the urban legend Bloody Mary). In 2006, Mr. Martin directed, wrote, and produced 3 feature films, including “MARy” a horror film based on the urban legend Bloody Mary, shot on location in Los Angeles County. He then relocated to the East Coast and immediately began working on “TAKEN FOR GRANTED”, another horror film shot on location in New London, CT, and then began production on “MANHATTANITES”, a feature dramedy in which he co-directed with Darnell Williams (Segmenting Director for ABC Daytime) and starring several stars from the ABC Soaps. In 2007, Mr. Martin moved back to Los Angeles, where he wrote/produced/directed “SKELETONS IN THE DESERT” shot on location in and around LA County. Some of his first projects included an indie TV-Pilot, "CHALLENGES" followed by “DELIVER US FROM EVIL, an Indie Sci-fi Hoaxed Documentary, promoted at Madison Square Garden through the New York International Film & Video Festival. Shortly following, Mr. Martin was pleased to collaborate as producer/writer in an all-star cast and crew of the ABC, NBC, and CBS Daytime Dramas in a SAG experimental project “WATERFRONT” that was filmed on location in his hometown, Yonkers, NY. A segment of the pilot was featured on SOAPNet's Soap Center in 2003 and 2004. Other self-produced projects in the past years include “THE TASTE OF DRAMA” (2002), a promo video to help young aspiring actors create a demo-reel and in the spring of 2005 he made his directorial debut for the stage with “CRUCIFY!” a self-written original play following the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
As an actor, Mr. Martin can be seen as a terrorist in “PORTRAIT OF COURAGE: THE UNTOLD STORY OF FLIGHT 93” a docudrama available at your local video store and on Netflix, and aired in 2006 on PAX-TV. He also appeared as a police officer in several episodes of ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL, and played lead and supporting roles in various Indie Features and Shorts, including the short film “NEGRO SPIRITUAL” screened at the Spike Lee Screening room in NYC in 2005 and the romantic comedy, “AMBER SUNRISE” currently seeking world-wide distribution. He also made a cameo appearance in “MARy,” played a supporting role in “TAKEN FOR GRANTED” and played lead roles in “MANHATTANITES” and “SKELETONS IN THE DESERT” among other projects.
Also at the helm of GruntWorks Entertainment is Meadow Williams, a remarkable young actress-turned producer originally from the farmlands of Tennessee. Ms. Williams has already amassed an impressive number of roles in major motion pictures and popular television shows, in addition to acting on stage. As a featured spokes model, Ms. Williams has appeared in magazine advertisements viewed by millions. She brings a unique combination of passion, creativity, and vitality to her craft.
Meadow Williams has made a truly amazing journey in a short period of time. From her humble beginnings on a Tennessee farm, to a successful actress and producer, Ms. Williams' character has remained true.
