America's AM Group has found a
permanent home, Nantucket Island,
Massachusetts. Hailing from the Dominican
Republic in 2004, this talented group of
DJs, producers and professional party
promoters morphed into a local trio, picking
up where the Island's Homegrown
producers Malcolm Brooks and Jamin
Murphy left off in 2002, bringing back the
best in innovative and classic house music.
The stuff you can't find on local radio!
It is apparent that these self-proclaimed
'foot therapists' are passionate about what
they do. With a desire to produce sounds
that are more organic and melodic than
the original rave scene of the high 90's,
they ask that you 'clear your ears' and open
your mind to a quality of sound, certainly
not mainstream, but absolutely accessible
to a wide audience of listeners, movers
and shakers. Their music celebrates
electronic house, and all its sub genres -
from cool bossanova jazz to beat-oriented
drum and bass and the true techno in
between.
AM Group has found a niche here on
Nantucket - beachside at the Jetties,
downtown at the Rose & Crown, New Year's
Eve at Lola, private year-round celebrations
and currently every Saturday night AM
Group is mid-town at the Muse.
They may not take requests, but this team
of professional DJ's and promoters
guarantee that their choice of house music
will entertain and more than satisfy the
sound 'scape' you would like to create. AM
Group has grown from its original
conception into a team of artists, inspired
by house music, and determined to
stimulate listeners with 3 to 4 hour sets
that pull from funk, disco, tribal, dub, deep
house... you name it. Energy
experimentation that knows no boundaries,
a vibe that grooves, a vibe that keeps the
heart pumping and soul jumping.
The Name, AM [Latin, ante meridiem] it means before noon.
Every day starts precisely at midnight also
known as A.M. which starts immediately
after that point. A time when our group; our
community, gathers to celebrate under a
single cause: House Music, embraced in
many ways as the jazz of our generation.
Originally created in Santo Domingo,
Dominican Republic, today, the sound
collective is represented in Barcelona and
Nantucket.

Tonic
Tony Camilo= Tonic: Noun. Anything that
is refreshing or invigorating.
A girlfriend once asked me that who was
the love of my life, I said: "House Music",
she laughed and demanded a straight
answer. Stoically, I repeated my response.
She didn't like it. As a reply she was waiting
for a person's name but honestly, that didn't
even cross my mind.
DJ, Promoter or producer are only a few
explorations of a singular passion that won't
put out for me, an e-motion that has always
been there, an art form, my best friend...
House Music.
DJ Devlin
DJ Devlin who is from Nantucket, started
Djing 8 years ago because of his love and
collection of good music. Starting out
playing with local band Cousin Gary
(Billy Voss) as a back up DJ. From there
was able to start his own nights of hip hop,
drum and bass as well as House music.
Playing at The Muse, Captain Tobey's,
Vincent’s (upstairs), The Rose and crown
(Summer Sessions), Lola's New Years Eve
party (2008), Nantucket Film Fest closing
party @ 56 Union (2007) as well as The
Jetties. The mission is still the same,
to bring new, sophisticated and stylish
music to Nantucket and any where in
between.
Bill Desmond
Born in Jersey, raised in Stowe Vermont,
DJ Bill Desmond has been at it for over
15 years. He got his start at Godard college
with one turntable and a cassette deck.
To he uneducated ear Billy plays "techno"!!
More specifically; all types of house music
and downtempo. Billy has DJed in Boston,
NYC, central coast Cali and Eastern
Europe and is now a Nantucket resident
with a plan to open minds to a genre of
music that you wont find on local radio.
