Grupo DeZeo is a 6 piece Tejano Band Located in Toledo, Ohio. Formed in 2002, Grupo DeZeo quickly became one of the hottest bands in the Toledo area. Unfortunatly about a year and a half later the band broke up due to differences in the group. In February of 2005 original Grupo DeZeo members Mark Najar, Eric Estrada, and Carlos Hernandez Jr. along with new members Jesus Abitua III, Sammy Gonzalez, and David Rodriguez Jr. reformed the group. Once again Grupo DeZeo quickly became one of the hottest bands around Toledo area. In December of 2005, Sammy Gonzalez (Keyboards, Vocals) decided to leave the group due to personal reasons. Seeing a need for a new keyboardist, Carlos (Drummer at the time) who's original instrument was keyboards decided it was time to take over the keyboard duties. Once that decision was made that opened the door for DeZeo to bring in longtime friend and brother Pablo Herrera to fulfill drumming duties for the band. Also for 2009, Grupo DeZeo also has once again been invited to perform in San Antonio, TX for the TTMA Fan Fair. Furthermore, the band has just finish recording the first 5 songs of their upcoming cd, and will be returning to FireFly Studios soon to finish the remaining songs. Grupo Dezeo has two big weekends coming up. This Saturday, we will be in Saginaw Michigan at the Tejano Music Throwdown. There will be 8 phenomenal bands performing that day.
