Hey, wow! It's a nifty little slideshow, look...
LOOK! Rare Duende rehearsal footage...
Duende are a six piece Salsa band from the UK. This exciting, authentic outfit took the South-West by storm and rapidly gained a solid reputation in the Latin entertainment scene.
Their repertoire includes uplifting Salsa and Merengue rhythms, as well as instrumental Latin jazz and romantic ballads, most of which are their own compositions. An optional dance class can be included on the night as part of the programme.
Duende's leader and frontman, Honduran-born Ramon Vallejo, has extensive experience as a band-leader and composer since 1991, including associations with the Afro-Cuban Allstars and members of the Buena Vista Social Club.
Duende are available for concerts, festivals, corporate events, private parties etc. See the blog on 'Booking Duende' for details.
That would be soooooo great as I'm completely stuck as to what to do with it at the mo. Wednesday brunch was mucho fun we should do it again soon. :) Did you know that Jade's back on Sunday for two weeks? She has loads of revision to do but I think we may be able to assemble the old gang for a magical day out at Crealy! :) Love and other indoor sports, Francisca (that's how it is in spanish, dontcha know.) xxx
Just in case you thought otherwise, I was by no means referring to the music on the site as 'muzak-y' internet cafe cyber-groove or whatever the correct term for that specific genre is - it's just the place I was online was exceedingly grimy, though I'd level a comparison!
Yeah, I asked Chris if he'd like to play with the quartet at our new weekly slot, should be good what with some other awesome musicians lined up to guest!
Looks like you guys are pretty busy! Oh, and just out of interest, are you on the Exe City gig next week? I regularly forget who's actually in that band, I know Sam is...apart from that...not a clue!
