Grupo Irék is based in New York City. They were the house band at Socialista where they played for an exclusive clientele including, Sting (who hired the band to play at many private parties), Madonna, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore (who hired the band to play Ashton’s 30th birthday party), Oscar de la Renta, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruiz and Mickey Rourke.
