On accordion and vocals is J.R. Ramos. J.R. started playing the accordion at the age of 6, and went to classes with one of the greatest accordionist of all time, the late Don Valerio Longoria. J.R. was also nominated for Best Instrumental of the Year back in ’94 for “La Polaka Polka”, which was recorded with a local conjunto led by him and his dad, Cone Ramos, who also made a presentation on Tradicion Humilde by recording the song "Que Suerte La Mia". J.R. has played with many well-known bands including Grupo Escandalo, Steve Jordan for the president of Mexico, and Little Joe y La Familia all around Texas, Arkansas, and even Kumamoto, Japan at the age of 10. He was recently with San Antonio's own Los Aguilares from 1999-2009. On drums is Santos Aguilar, son of the late Emilio Aguilar Sr. of Los Aguilares.
