What began as a group of friends casually getting together to make music has now become one of the hottest young bands in the United States and Mexico. .. .. Siggno formed in 2000 and a year later landed their first recording contract. They quickly went into the studio and recorded their debut album, Al Principio. The album received solid airplay throughout the Southwest and helped introduce the band to an audience waiting for something fresh and exciting in Regional Mexican music. Since then, the group has recorded a total of six albums, received numerous accolades, and in doing so have built a solid base of dedicated fans. Their critically-acclaimed 2007 hit album, Capitulo 5, went on to be nominated in the Best Norteño Album category at the 8th Annual Latin Grammy Awards... .. Siggno is lead by lead vocalist, accordionist and songwriter Jesse Turner. Since their inception, Turner has shared many of his personal experiences through his songs. “My life is an open book for everyone to see and each album is just a chapter of my life. This is where I get the inspiration for my songs,” says Turner. Songs such as, “Mejor Dimelo,” “Trate de Olvidarte,” “Estupida,” “Pero Hablame,” “Esta Lloviendo,” and his latest smash, “Yo Queria,” are all tracks that have made a huge impact at radio, but more importantly have resonated with fans. .. .. Now, with their latest release SIX PACK, Siggno has raised the bar and is poised to position themselves amongst the biggest names in Regional Mexican music. SIX PACK is the most polished release to date in the Siggno catalog. Containing 13 tracks, SIX PACK features an outstanding collection of songs including rancheras, cumbias, valseadas and baladas. The album’s first single, “Yo Queria,” has received strong radio support and has recently been one of the most downloaded songs on iTunes’ latin store... .. What does Siggno mean? Although the English translation for Siggno is “signs,” the name has taken on a different meaning for fans. Siggno stands for love and pain, two of the most powerful emotions that people possess. Siggno, through their lyrics and melodies, express those feelings in a way that allows their fans to identify themselves with the band... ..
