“El grupo Síncopa fue fundado el 1ro de Mayo de 1994 y su objetivo fue trabajar el son cubano, así como los diferentes géneros de la música cubana.

Sus integrantes, músicos jóvenes que han cursado estudios musicales en su provincia natal, trabajan el repertorio fundamentalmente en obras de su propia inspiración, en las cuales sobresale el trabajo de su director musical Delfín Ramos.

Desde sus inicios el grupo contó con la popularidad del público y fue seleccionado en 1997 entre las agrupaciones noveles más populares del país, en ese mismo año y 1998 fue nominado para los premios Lucas del país al mejor video clip del año.

Debemos destacar también su participación en diferentes festivales internacionales como Festival del Caribe, Festival Iberoamericano de la cultura, Festival Iberoamericano de la décima, Beitzen Festival en Suiza, Festival de Jazz XYZ en Utrecht y Festival Cubamanía en Holanda, La vieja opera de Frankfurt y otros que haría muy larga la lista.

El grupo desde el año 1997 ha tenido giras sistemáticas en Europa en países como España, Italia, Luxemburgo, Francia, Holanda, Suiza, Alemania, Turquía, Austria, Bélgica, esto avala la aceptación y calidad de esta agrupación. La confirmación de esto lo podemos apreciar en el triunfo de la cantante Odalmis Cabello en el Festival Provincial del CUBADISCO 2005 y su selección en el evento internacional de este año entre las mejores cantantes femeninas del país. Nuestro grupo ha compartido escenario con importante figuras internacionales como Eddy Palmieri, Roberto Blanco, Constantin Becker, Dalia Negra, Luís Frank del Buena Vista Social Club, Orquesta Aragón, Maravillas de Florida, Charanga Forever, Juego de Manos, La Barriada. Han grabado 3 discos compactos y su sonoridad es una auténtica prueba de la vigencia del son cubano contemporáneo y una oferta para disfrutar y bailar porque Síncopa no es distinto, es superior.
