Bound by a common love of jazz, 70’s fusion and 70’s soul and funk, Gruvtherapy began it’s mission in 2005 to entertain audiences with a sound best described as Neo Soul/Urban Jazz… mature, smooth, sexy and lively. Some would later dub our energetic musical style as “Ruffneck Jazz.”
As the bands sound has evolved and been refined, the musical style and formula remains unchanged. Gruvtherapy offers up a pulsating, funky rhythm section drenched with warm, soulful saxophone riffs.
We hope that you enjoy listening to our music as much as we enjoyed creating it.
