A native Washingtonian, Gerald, affectionately known as ‘G’ was born into a musical family and exposed to the Gospel music scene at an early age. By age 9, he was singing in professional choruses and choirs for the likes of Vikki Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Kim Burrell, Daryl Coley and other Gospel music giants. By age 12, he was traveling internationally to sing in Bilboa, Spain at the opening of the Guggenheim Museum. At age 16, Gerald sat down at the organ for the first time and hasn’t looked back. He wrote his first song entitled “Destiny” for his high school graduation from Eastern High School. It’s his business to create music that speaks to the soul and lyrics that touch the spirit. In 2007, with the support of his family and the brotherhood of his friends, Gerald completed ‘Intro’ an intricate blend of Gospel, R&B, and Neo-Soul. “I feel like you don't have to be a ‘super-saint’ to enjoy my music but I pray that the anointing on it will propel people to give their all to Jesus and press toward the mark.” Gerald’s mission is to minister to God’s people through music that they can relate to and that will empower them to rise above their present situation to their place in God. Whether ‘G’ is singing or playing, to know him is to love him and to hear him is an experience.
