Blurbs

About me:

Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Inc. was formed in 1921 and has grown to serve approximately 40,000 girls and over 17,700 volunteer adults in 34 counties of metropolitan Atlanta and northwest Georgia and a portion of Polk County, TN. Girl Scouts of the USA was formed on March 12, 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low in Savannah Georgia. That makes us almost 100 years old!

Girl Scouting is for all girls, everywhere, who want to do something amazing with their lives, right now.

Through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, Girl Scouting encourages girls to discover themselves, connect with others and take action to make the world a better place. Girl Scouting’s mission is to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. For more information on how to join, volunteer or donate to Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Inc. call (800) 771-4046 or visit our Web site at www.girlscoutsofgreateratlanta.org.

Interests

  • General

The camp experience allows girls to practice new skills, not just read about or observe them, and build on what they already know. Challenge and motivation are built into the activities so girls can progress in their skills each summer. Building skills promotes a positive attitude, builds self-confidence and improves self-esteem. Give your daughter the summer of a lifetime and send her to one of our five resident camps.
