is an amazing new rock band founded by lead singer/songwriter
Gavin Thomas Aldred (hence !).
Unusually the band has been built around the music, written and recorded over the past 2 years at
The LaB studio on the Cote d'Azur and the legendary Westland studio
in Dublin.
The band members and studio team skills reflect the wide range of musical influences which have shaped the sound.
At the heart of the band are key members of cult Irish rock band
Picturehouse
Dave Browne on rhythm guitar and vocals,
Aongus Ralston on bass, and Jason Duffy on drums.
In addition some tremendous new talent has been added in the (rather beautiful!) form of
Ingrid Madsen on vocals, plus Yann O'Brien on lead guitar, and
Alex Smith on keyboards.
The debut album .."10 Songs".. has finished recording under the auspices of chief engineer
Tim Martin ( Van Morrison, The Corrs, Terence Trent Darby etc.) and mixing commences in December in LA with
Robbie Adams (U2).
We are hoping to release the album in late Spring 2007.
The songs embody powerful melodies and soaring choruses within a dramatic guitar-led multi-layered soundscape. The main themes cover the vagaries of love, the dangers of blind belief, bravery, cowardice, hope, and forgiveness.
Musical influences cover a huge range from the Beatles to Muse via Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Crowded House, the Blue Nile, U2, and Coldplay.
Enough material has been recorded for a second album and demo tracks will be released regularly to our friends. Let us know what you think of them!
