Hours before the Virginia Tech shooting, and many times in days, months and years before, a similiar amount of Iraqi civilians have been murdered(30 in this specific case), again and again. This atrocity went largely ignored by the media, and of all the candle light vigils held for all of the heartbreakingly lost at Virginia Tech(rest in peace), it has been hard pressed to find a candle vigil any day for iraqi civilians(and afghani civilians) who have had bombs dropped on their homes, killed by flying bullets, bombs planted on their streets, ect.
Why?, is easily apparent, and it disturbs me how the VT shooting has been hijacked by the media and beginning to be hijacked by politicians following the media framing, to further remove our rights. It is the power of fear being seized upon, being fed out.
Someone had came up with the slogan "Today, we are all Hokies". Well ladies and gents, Today..Everyday..We are all Iraqi's. That is what i have to express to you here and now, and i hope for those of you that have done so..that if you can place a "VT, Today, We are all Hokies" banner-photo up on your page, you can certainly as well make the proper statement of love and concern, to make a call and say "Today we are all Iraqi's".
