GT Stringer's history dates back to infamous Adelaide surf act The Luau - founding members Jim Redgate & Trev Ramsay formed GT Stringer after a request was made by Australian publisher Steve Mcparland (California Music Magazine) for some earlier recorded material from The Luau - as no such recordings were in existence GT Stringer was formed to generate original surf inspired instrumental tracks.
Almost 10 years on and 5 full length CD's later GT Stinger have become respected as one of Australia..s leading surf instro au-go-go outfits. Appearances in film (The Summer of Love 2002) and the use of the bands tunes in numerous soundtracks have seen a large back catalogue develop.
Autumn 05 saw the release of the bands 5th album ..Boobytrap.., which recently came in at number one on Adelaide..s independent 3D Radios top 101 playlist for 2005 Along with continued touring & local performances GT Stinger strives to put the Kook back into Kooky!
Hi guys, Had a great night at the Wheaty. It was awesome to see Tristan play with you again. Would you consider doing a show with us again? Cheers Jenny & Peter
Hello chums...thanks for the add. Of course, you know we love youse, so now we can share our fondness in a meaningful way...through the gift of Myspace. Sorry we missed your launch, we were busy smashing our instruments through sheer frustration of having to play on the same evening. Heard it was a magical affair. Anyhoo, must dash...
The THRILL KILL KULT's wise adage "Glamour Is A Rocky Road" certainly applies to the extremely tumultuous life of one Evel Knievel. Despite his fame, Evel's life was one of far more disappointments and heartbreaks than it was of high points. It truly was a "rocky road" living the excruciatingly painful life that was Evel Knievel. Evel was the most influential pioneer of daredevil culture. Evel was a showman who always put his fans first, even before his own health and wellbeing. That's the kind of performer Evel Knievel was.
History will prove to be both fond and forgiving of Evel Knievel. Evel is a legend who is so much more than just an image on a lunch box you see for sale on an Ebay auction. Evel will never be replaced or duplicated. He was one of a kind. If any one man who ever died truly deserves the right to finally be able to "REST IN PEACE", Evel Knievel is THAT man.
BIG STICK
P.S. We're currently recording new music, mixing and preparing for a release that will feature some back catalog, new material and a DVD of visuals/videos.
