We support all live and local bands trying to make it out there for themselves...or for just the fun of it..we support any outfit that wants to play their ORIGINAL song-sounds and try out our little spot in Western NC! We are proud of the many musical outfits that hail from this area, but we always invite others from elsewhere to check out the cafe.

THE GRISTLEIZER "TREMO-LFO" OF THROBBING GRISTLE FAME AND LEGEND, NOW IN A PEDAL VERSION!
That's right: Endangered Audio of Asheville, North Carolina is now commercially producing Gristleizers. Basically a portion of a synth that has been removed and put into a pedal, the Gristleizer is one of the most unique guitar/bass/synth/sousaphone/WHATEVER YOU WANT effects ever created. Go to http://www.smashingguitarsasheville.com/products/gristleizer-stompbox for more info and ordering. WE DO SHIP INTERNATIONALLY.
Why is King Tut telling you about this? Well, Mark, the guitarist, works at Endangered Audio and builds these things with the help of a few other coworkers. This is a boutique, hand-made operation using 100% analog circuitry and 110% effort and attention to detail.
Also, if you click on the "used/vintage" tab on the website, you will see some pretty awesome guitars, amps, and pedals for sale for dirt cheap! We recently expanded our store on the internet to move things that have been sitting around the shop for too long so these prices really, quite simply, can't be beat.
Thanks for your time and patience, hope you enjoy!

Dylan Gilbert LIVE
Tuesday June 30th 2009
@ The Garage at Biltmore
101 Fairview Rd. Suite B,
Asheville, NC 28803
Cost: 5$ - Starts at 9pm
w/ Robots & Butterflies, Restrict This & We Got This
This 7" (yes, a record, not a CD) will have two of our "live" songs--meaning songs we play at our concerts. One of them people might have heard before, and another is completely new. It will be recorded at Altamont Studios in Asheville, NC, and pressed by Musicol of Columbus, Ohio. The expected release date is Mid-June (pre-order ends June 1st).
EXTRA GOODIES: When you buy the record, not only will you get a free download code for high quality, uncompressed mp3's of the songs on the album as well as some b-sides, you will receive a free, hand-made poster, and some surprising SURPRISE GOODIES. Everything about this will be hand-made and each one will be unique and showered with our love and affection.
The cost is $5 and the shipping is a flat $5 for the United States (international shipping coming soon).
NOTE: IF YOU OWN OR WORK FOR A RECORD STORE, or for some reason want a lot of copies, if you buy 5 or more they will ship to you for free.
EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE A TURNTABLE (VINYL PLAYER): Don't let that hold you back! You still might wise up and get one someday. We're not going to put out CD's anymore because they a) don't sound as good b) aren't as cool c) people don't take care of them d) most people just want to rip the mp3's onto their myPods e) if you want a CD version, for the road or to give to someone else (which you are more than welcome to do), you can just burn it yourself.
We will be playing our first electric show of the year at The Grey Eagle this coming Saturday, April 18. We hope you and your friends can make it out. Advance tickets are on sale now. This is an all ages show.
