Who Is Guerilla Cross:
Guerilla Cross is a foundation that was created to bring artists together for the purpose of allowing the opportunity for positive music to be expressed through providing ministry venues. Local Christian Hip Hop artists grew tired of how their music was being presented, so they took it upon themselves to make changes, collaborate, and create a movement. That coupled with the lack of consistency in venues became the inspiration for what is now Guerilla Cross.
The artists affiliated with Guerilla Cross are genuine in their music and have a sincere approach – and it is this with which people connect. Our belief is when non-Christians see the genuine & humble nature of a believer they will be drawn to Christ.
Alternately it can often be the “God Talk” that turns them away from Christ. Jesus is the ultimate message we want to deliver true but; the way in which we live & conduct ourselves including during shows completes the package.
Mission:
It is the mission of Guerilla Cross to reach the community in a non-conventional way through quality hip-hop music.
The concept behind Guerilla Cross is to invite the secular community to a venue that is positive, non-intimidating, and does not feel like a church event. The Music is the bait along with good promotion & our interaction upon engaging them.
Ministry Event/Venue Goals:
The Guerilla Cross ministry began in 2005 and has been growing steadily more recently, since September of 2007. We are pleased with the response we have received so far as more individuals and artists have caught the vision for the ministry & we are excited for what the future holds.
God has placed a passion in our hearts to minister to youth and college-aged individuals. Currently, Guerilla Cross hosts an event once a month (every 3rd Friday) at different locations in & around Las Vegas. Eventually however, we would like to have 1 central location for all of our shows. We anticipate at least 12-15 shows this year, each one improving on the last. We anticipate headlining some of these shows with big name artists from around the country.
The Guerilla Cross Ministry is not in existence to create fame or profit for anyone, and we don’t expect to be absent from adversity as we strive to reach our goals. We DO expect to change the hearts of people through Christ using our music and the presentation of our shows. Whether we are rapping, singing, talking or just hanging out … we are a walking testimony of Christ, and we want to reach people for HIM not only through our music but or presence as well.
