Gustavo Lima (Gu, WireTap and member of Dope Kids) is twenty-two years young portuguese music artist, who found is true likings back in 1994 were Techno was the big thing in Portugal. Everything started with a K7 of a recorded set of Dave Clarke! Since then until now, he kept learning and absorbing new music movements from all over the world.
Back in 2005, he got is first mixer and that was the beginning of a new life, more than just a listener and fan. He started exploring minimal techno sets, delivering the most fresh and exiting tracks to his friends on private parties, and home gigs. It was just in the beginning of 2006 when Gu, Tomas Gamboa and Stig created Mossad Electronics DJ ensemble that is work started to be divulged to the portuguese people. From 2006 to now he played at the best Porto clubs like Bazaar, Industria Porto, Porto Rio, Mau Mau, Maré Alta, Club Gare and the top clubs of Viana do Castelo, his city of election for the ultimate parties, at clubs as Nasoni, Clube do Cais, Café del Rio, Café Teatro.
While DJing for fun and pleasure for the crowd, musical production is the real and main activity from Gu. Exploring new textures, sounds, ambients, he creates tracks inspired on artists like Camea, Miro Pajic, Tom Dazing, Troy Pierce, Tony Rohr, Re:Axis among other but he also gets inspiration from other activities like sampling video games, nature, human voice and futuristic and dark movies.
New technology and electronic music are is main subjects of study. As a producer he's WireTap and member of the group Dope Kids(Monocline Records / Nuhar / Racoon / Del Barrio), searching new kinds of Minimal and Techno for the mind and the dancefloor.
