2009 - Guillaume Vincent was born in Germany in 1978 and moved to France at age 3. At 12, Guillaume learned to play the guitar from his father, who was once in a band.
Two years later, Guillaume moved to Montréal, Canada with his family. In Québec, he was part of a few different bands, playing everywhere he could find in the city. Soon, he left Montréal for San Francisco. For the next 3 years Guillaume travelled from California to Vancouver to Guatemala, playing his and others’ music. After returning to Montréal to study, he began his own project which involved recording demos, playing concerts and taking part in contests.
To make ends meet, Guillaume worked in hotels, bars and advertising agencies. After each straight job ended, he came back to his real passion: music. He wrote his first album during 2005 and 2006 and found the money to record it. Les Bombes was released in June 2007.
With an album out, Guillaume got noticed. He won a grant, a contest and participated to the 2008 edition of the FrancoFolies.
He's just finished to record the new songs with his new band mates Bertrand Chaillou and Louis Souverain, who play bass guitar and drums, respectively.
The newest songs reflect the spirit of the “rootless,” those who are on the road and in a strange country. However, the message is a surprising one of hope for the oft-travelled. Deftly mixing folk, rock and world influences, Vincent’s new tunes integrate a range of instruments from lap steel guitar and ukulele to banjo and acoustic guitar. It's full of surprises musically and in its meaning. It reminds us of who we are by telling the stories of where we’ve been.
Now more than ever, Guillaume Vincent believes in the artistic direction of the band and is ready to play.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2008 -

Glielo dobbiamo. Glielo deve chi lo ha conosciuto.
