The new recording is finished! Everything turned out better than expected. Paul Miner at Buzz Bomb Sound Lab did a great job. Thanks to everyone who has been following us through this and sending words of love and support. We will be playing Vegas again in December. Check back often for CD release updates and 2010 Tour info. As always, thank you to everyone who supports Guilty by Association and the Las Vegas scene.
Bio:
It is common knowledge within the music business that the majority of bands regardless of their style, won’t stay together past the first year. Even those who make it past the three year mark are often swallowed up shortly thereafter by this cruel and fickle industry. It seems that most bands are here today and gone tomorrow but every once in a while a band comes along that no matter the amount of adversity they face, they continue to persevere through even the most frustrating of conditions to become a driving force in their community. Since early 2001, Guilty by Association has been doing just that and with over 190 gigs under their belts, they are showing no signs of slowing down. More so now than ever before, Guilty by Association is making an impact on their local scene in Las Vegas as well as all over California, Arizona, and Colorado. They are currently working on the much anticipated follow up to their well received debut CD ‘Detox’ which they produced through their self-propelled record label Public Nuisance Records.
Since their inception 8 years ago, they have shared the stage with some of their biggest influences like D.I. , Dead Kennedys, FEAR, Guttermouth, Dwarves, Agent Orange, the Adolescents, Agnostic Front, Exploited, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Sham 69, JFA and Circle Jerks. It’s obvious from their music that Guilty by Association is heavily influenced by these and other punk rock bands but the unique thing about GBA is that they also draw inspiration from other musical genres without compromising the characteristics that make the band distinctly punk. The energy that goes into their live show is only matched by their relentless independent work ethic. As fans quickly find out, it is this DIY attitude and a genuine love for playing music that defines what Guilty by Association is truly about.
