About me:
Have you had enough of paying through the nose, for every 30 minutes of average guitar lessons?
Our lessons start from £3.75 per hour. Wouldn ’t you like to pay that instead?
Are you new to the guitar, and don’t know were to start?
Are you a great guitarist already but find yourself playing the same things, maybe your technically great but struggle to write songs?
Maybe you’ve had enough of learning songs/theory/technique that you don’t like, all because your teacher recommends it, when really they are too lazy/busy to work out an individually plan that interest you.
Have you had enough of being just another number in a teacher’s diary? or maybe you've already reached an advanced playing level and can't find a teacher experienced enough to show you the next step?
That’s where we come in.
The Guitar Academy has been setup to help any type of guitar player from any ability, any age and any style. Were here to help people develop quickly; using a strong curriculum which covers a wide variety of musical application such as ear training, song writing, technique, music theory (including the option to take an advanced study into world music forms), sight reading, improvisation, monthly artist studies and music grades. Also we have encouragement to only hire teachers that were previous students who have been through all of the curriculum. We teach private lesson anytime of day or night everyday of the week, or group classes costing only £15 per 3 hours which are great for confidence building socialising and experience in working with other musicians. Whatever route you want to take, However far you want to go were here to help. :
Further Education
You could increase every aspect of your playing with us so you’re prepared for college or university studies. The curriculum we have even goes further than most colleges and universities. So by spending a year with us you could make your college or university studies easy. Maybe you want to take a route of further education but haven ’t had any training in the past, we could help.
Hobby
Maybe you want to just play guitar as a hobby, well we can teach you everything you need to know to allow you to work out and play you favourite songs much, much quicker and there's no pressure on the learning, everyone has life style commentments (kids, jobs, other interest).
Career and Musical Freedom
Maybe you want a career, well at the end of the curriculum you could become a teacher for the guitar academy and earn a full time wage for part time hours. This frees up time for people who are in bands or for songwriters. With the experience and knowledge you pick up you could become a song writer, soundtrack writer, a band member or session musician.
Virtuoso Standard
We can show how to become an amazing guitarist and give you all the tools you need to look at the instrument in your own way and develop your own techniques and ideas. You could be pushing the standards and boundaries on musical creation. You could have people look up to you. After fulfilling the study of modal application through major, harmonic and melodic scales.You could move on to the interesting and rare study of all the eastern study modules which look in depth at the theory and songwriting techniques of Japanese, Hungarian, Indian, Arabianian, Israely, Byzantine, African and many more music forms. With this knowledge you will learn how to introduce and combine these eastern ideas with the modal ideas that already present themselves in the western styles we love and adore. Combine that knowledge with advanced technique like reversed tapping or legato, sweep and tapping combinations and our study on guitar runs and note groupings and blow any other guitarist out of the water. If you think your too good for the Academy maybe you should come along and find out. Knowledge is power and so far only 2 out of the 150 students we teach have reached this exceptional standard.
