Huw uses Shure SM58 and SM86 and Rode M2 microphones, plays Godin Multiac and Yamaha AEX 500 electric classical guitars, and uses AER Alpha, AER Compact 60 and Roland AC60 amplifiers. He uses a Boss RC-2 Loopstation pedal to create live samples during performance, and a Boss SD-1 when he wants an overdriven sound. Huw has his own transport and can supply a 600w PA, which is loud enough for most rooms.

Biography:
Huw Price is a guitarist and singer who is influenced by classic soul, bossa nova, deep funk, afrobeat and hard bop. He plays both his own compositions and a wide range of soul, jazz and latin classics. Huw is available for bookings for bars, restaurants, hotels, night clubs, members' clubs, weddings, private parties and corporate functions. He is smart and punctual, with his own transport and amplification system. His equipment is PAT tested, and he has full Public Liability Insurance.
Huw performs in London several hundred times a year. Solo, with his duos or with his band, he has held residencies at some of the finest venues in town, such as: The Trafalgar Square Hilton, Eight Members Club [City], China White, Dogstar [Brixton], The Wyndham Grand [Chelsea], Revolution [City], La Gondola [Battersea], Gaucho Grill Picadilly, Gaucho Grill Hampstead, Number Ten [Ladbroke Grove], River Lounge [Tower Bridge], Guoman Hotel [Tower Bridge], Mason's [Ladywell], the Alma [Crystal Palace], the Old Dairy [Crouch End], Si Mangia [Forest Hill], Lost Angel [Battersea ]and Viva Viva [Crouch End].
He has also played one-off engagements at venues such as Claridge's, Momo's, Hampton Court Palace, Infinity Club, Sound, Leeds Castle, the Light Bar and 40:30 at the top of the Gherkin building. He has played private art exhibitions and corporate events for blue-chip clients such as Microsoft and Eversheds. "It's Not The Wand, It's The Magic" is the debut release from AUGUST, the London based band centred around the songwriting partnership between vocalist VEDINA MOSE and multi-instrumentalist / producer RAPHAEL MANN (MR HUDSON / JOY JOSEPH / ART TERRY), with master drummer CLEAN CUT MARK and clarinetist / vocalist MAREE CHOIE completing the core line-up, and a supporting cast including ART TERRY (keyboards), SHOHEI KAWAMOTO (AKA Japanese producer Baraki, Bass clarinet, soprano sax and flute), and KAI HOFFMAN (French horn)
Always an act that juggled a diverse set of influences, the album has been compared to artists as diverse as KATE BUSH, PRINCE, DE LA SOUL, SLY STONE, MADLIB, SERGE GAINSBOURG and THE DELFONICS, for its concoction of wild experimentation and traditional song craft, organic production and futuristic electronic touches, funk bass & drums and jazz & orchestral references, infectious melodies and lyrical flights of fancy...with nods towards classic soul, JB funk, Studio One, 60s pop, psychedelia, left field hip hop, new wave, doo wop, tropicalia, high life, & avant garde jazz, without any song ever fitting squarely into any of those categories...new music, basically...and an instant classic!
