That’s where it all began - a budding guitarist was born.
From a young age Tara began to take a strong interest in music - mainly the beach boys, with which she would dance around with her new toy guitar....3 broken toy guitars later.... (how very rock n’ roll!)
She then became the proud owner of a brand spanking new 3/4 size acoustic guitar.
After it gathered dust on top of a wardrobe for a couple of years - Tara then found a willing teacher at her new school.
After four years of after school clubs and dodgy folk songs - Tara continued to teach herself.
Playing in various school bands with close singer friend Sarah Heeley (later of the Leicester band MINITHIN and now of NORTHERN KIND - see in ’my friends’).
A couple of ropey local bands later (Where she was actually the singer not the guitarist!)
Tara moved away from Leicester for the first time at the age of 19 - starting work with Warner Holidays as a ’Green Coat’. The role brought various challenges - one of them being ballroom dancing....yes ballroom dancing!
She stayed with Warners and progressed to playing with the resident
band, backing in-house shows and cabaret.
After three enjoyable years on Hayling Island, Tara spread her wings and Joined Nottingham Band ’Kool Decision’. The band went on to play in Muscat Oman. Tara later returned to Muscat with her own band ’Tapestry’.
After a years break (break isn’t strictly true as she took up a 4 month contract in Dubai as a DJ)
Tara came back home and joined Local band ’Lucyfantastik’ - the band enjoyed moderate success, playing venues like ’The Rock Garden’ In London.
She was then poached by some friends who were setting up a Madonna tribute show - ’VOGUE’.
Vogue went on to play venues around the world - even playing before audiences of 25,000 at the Mathew Street Festival in Liverpool.
After three incredible years - Tara moved on to join the showband ’5th Element’. They completed high profile contracts for Bourne Leisure and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Tara was instrumental in creating a classic rock show and Bon Jovi tribute with 5th Element.
Again, hungry for a challenge, Tara came back to her hometown to persue new projects.
Tara is currently gigging solo and also performing a music tribute to Melissa Etheridge - "Brave and Crazy" check out the new website www.braveandcrazy.me.uk

Hi there Tara, asking Dayle would be very cool as i've got a bass player sorted (Queen on fire's)who does good bv's, however, a good 2nd guitarist with strong vocals would be priceless!!!! Sharing solo's and all that raaaawwwkkkk!!!!! I'm not pleased to report but, myself and Liz are not gonna be able to attend the Gaff's wedding for a few reasons (1)We literally don't have a pot to piss in, it's the most skint we've probably been for 10yrs, (2) My Dad is really ill with vertigo at the minute and could probably do without 2 kids running round his house just now, I feel truly shit about it all to be honest, but that's the situation we find ourselves in due to our lovely mate at Cunts on fire. Later, carlos.
