my mother gave me the name "Antoon", my father called me "Alexander"

how it all started
as my dad would say:
"Where it all went wrong"
I was about eight when my parents gave me the opportunity to have music lessons. First I went for classical lessons on wooden flute. After some time I joined my teacher's junior orchestra. A few year later I switched to classical guitar studying composers like Bach, Beethoven and Mozart.

It was the sixties - days of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Gun, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. So, I also went electric. First mounting a pick-up to the acoustic, later me and my dad went to the local store to by me a real one. My first amp was an old tube radio. Later I bought myself a VOX AC50. This was my 'point of no return'. My father started calling me "Jimi Hendrix" and making his point by regularly switching off the main power supply (hahaha). And me and a friend started our first band.

In the seventies I went to music school. Again classical guitar but this time more orientated on composers like Carcassi, Carulli and Giuliani. I joined one of the school bands playing Jazzy stuff. Later I got into subjects as recording & production, composing, cover design, music & av-productions, writing, band contests and finaly combining my skills with Internet technology.

"Government Lies"

Before governments stop telling lies

introduction

I was a politician for the Dutch Labour Party when my father died in hospital. Some members of my party tried to gain advantaged of the situation. As an act of protest I left office. What happened after - beyond imagination - opened my eyes. Basically this is what the renewed version (2007-2009) of my music, art & design project the "Alex' Nebular Geometry" is about.

In the beginning there was the Geometry. Incubated by regular band activities, in time it matured going trough various stages, experiences, lessons and experiments. A journey to (political) awareness on the waves of its own dynamics creating sound, text, poetry and design.

Initially a presentation of music and musician's history, eventualy events of inspiration became part of the concept. But soon after some remarked on an ex-convict and his son. There loomed a dark relation to real estate and a residential neighborhood close to the Dutch village of Bilthoven
