Matt DeSilva, founder of Guitar Man, managed the guitar department at New York City’s legendary Manny’s Music for five years. But, he grew tired of the corporate mentality on 48th Street and chose to open a store that would offer every customer the personal attention they deserved by having a knowledgeable sales staff. Guitar Man opened in March 2005 to be the premium guitar & bass shop. We are proud of our accomplishments and even more pleased by our customer’s feedback. We carry a full range of electric and acoustic guitars, basses, amps, effects and accessories. Our inventory of used and vintage instruments is growing daily. Because we are independently owned, we can offer something for everyone – ranging from beginners to seasoned pros, hobbyists to collectors. We offer first-rate instruments at affordable prices. We will also work with you to build a custom instrument – either in the store or through one of our custom design partners. The Guitar Man website only lists a sampling of what we have in stock. We are adding new instruments everyday, so give us a ring or shoot us a note with any questions. And, when you’re in NYC’s East Village, stop by and jam with us for a few minutes. We also ship worldwide, so if you’re in Europe, Asia or South America, we’ll get you an amazing instrument quickly.
