jules etienne & alessandro tartari are the names behind the berlin based housemusic production team gui.tar. their previous releases for careless & punkt music (rip) went straight into the record bags of djs like ata or ewan pearson (as featured on his mix of fabric35) and became secret hits in clubs like panorama bar or robert johnson. their sound is indeed very special ranging from dark sound-scapes to deep chords all tied together by clever rhythms and sensitively placed percussions.

well, teaching harmonies or music theory is something I might get into a bit later... to be honest, for my own productions, I just fuck around with sounds until I get a song. But usually I have an idea in my head, and how that idea gets into my head, I have no idea... so perhaps I might need to become a neurologist to teach harmonies LOL
Check it out! I wrote a free book on music production! It's for total beginners, but if you aren't new to music production, maybe you'll still learn something... at least you can send it to your friends who always want to ask you a billion questions about music production! It's totally free too; my goal with this is to accumulate as many BFF's as possible.
