Steve Arriola has been playing guitar for over 25 years.
His musical Explorations have taken him Across the United States, Through Mexico, and as far away as Shanghai, China.
He currently lives in Eugene, Oregon with his two Children, Daisy and Joaqin.
In the past, Steve has fronted bands, but found his role as Sideman to be more satisfying and useful for the eclectic range of styles he enjoys. Over the years he has had the opportunity to share the stage with Bobby Blue Bland, Leon Russell, Eric Burdon, Corey Stephens, Robin Trower, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and was an original member of the world's Most under-appreciated House Band, 'Johnny Wild and the Blue Yonder' among others...But as they say, 'Dude, No one cares who you've opened for..."
Steve also works as an Audio Engineer, mixing live bands as well as recording in the studio, and was recently honored to recieve the "Golden Ears" production award in June 2006 for outstanding quality of recording and mixing, from the Lane Community College Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance Arts. But as they say 'That and $8.00 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks'
Currentley, Steve plays full-time for The Oregon based Northwest Blues band Michael Tracey and the Hi Tones. **Winner of two Rooster Awards from the Rainy Day Blues Society, for Best Male Vocalist, AND Best Contemporary Blues Band** Other Projects include the Northwest style Americana band, SILAS **CD available from CD BABY, and also on i tunes** he also gets to put his spin on the The Finely Crafted Songs of the Almond Davis Group, PLUS he can be found every Wednesday night guitarring at the "Downtown Blues Jam" at Diablo's Downtown Lounge. He is an admitted Tone Junkie, a pretty good Cook, and a fan of Micro Brews.
