Thank you everyone who continues to believe in us.
Gulf Coast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps (Houston, TX) would like to invite any and all who are skilled in the area of Color Guard to come and join us for our 2008 season. We're just about ready to take the field in competition, but we need you to complete our team.
Being in our Corps has many perks. It's an incredible way to enjoy a summer break. This has got to be the easiest way to make tons of new friends locally and across the country. The best part about being in our Corps, besides getting to travel the country, is you're in an all age adult atmosphere so there's no need to feel any pressure to be on the same difficulty level as a junior corps.
Speaking of junior corps, another thing that separates us from other Corps is our cost. Our dues are ridiculously low compared to others. Gulf Coast Sound offers installment plans as well as discounts for those who pay in full. Why pay more somewhere else when the experience with us is less money and more rewarding? Also, the opportunities to network in and out of the music scene are practically sitting in your lap since you'll be spinning side by side with people from all walks of life, including teachers. We work hard, but have so much fun doing it.
Another perk is that most of us in Gulf Coast Sound have full time jobs, and our performance and rehearsal schedule fits around our work and family schedules. So there is no reason to give up a summer job or make major sacrifices to have the opportunity for performances, travel and lots of fun!
All the choreography and equipment work will be finished soon and the drill is easy so there's no need to feel overwhelmed about joining. Anyone with guard experience will be able to pick it up easily. Plus you never know what you can do till you put your mind to it. We had FOUR NEW MEMBERS in the Horn line learn the whole drill in ONE weekend!!!
This season we're looking for anyone who can spin a flag or rifle, who wants to march with an established, entertaining corps and is ready to have a memorable summer.
Don't let this opportunity pass you by - contact us today either replying here, the Gulf Coast Sound Drum Corps website (www.gulfcoastsound.org) or contact us by email at gulfcoastsoundguard@gmail.com
Our season is about to start so don't waste a second! Come and join us for an amazing season as we push to become DCA Class A World Champions!!!
