About me: I am the proud parent of one active boy. I have three brothers and two sisters. I have many first generation nephews and nieces, and almost as many second generation nephews and nieces. I am way too young for that. They just keep appearing.
I love to have fun. Who doesn't! I have spent much of my adult life in the US Air Force and as a veteran advocate. In addition, I own and operate a disc jockey/karaoke company based in Massachusetts (check out the pics). If you live in Massachusetts or New Hampshire and need a DJ or KJ send me a note!
I joined the US Air Force in 1986. I have had several assignments Stateside and in addition, I served overseas in South Korea from June 1989 - June 1990 and in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War for seven months from September 1990 - April 1991 (again, check out the pics). In 1996 I left the US Air Force and became a veteran advocate. I testified before the US Congress several times and conducted many media interviews on behalf of ailing Gulf War Veterans. I travel to the Washington DC area occasionally on behalf of veterans and the MS Society.
I was married in 1998 and then separated in 2007.
I am interested in veteran issues, music, electronic gadgets, shooting, spending quality time with family and friends, and of course quality time alone (not necessarily in that order). I devote some of my time to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. I volunteer when I am asked at a local access cable television station in Massachusetts. Until recently I hosted and produced a show on veteran issues. The plan is to start that show up again. I enjoy food! Chinese, Mexican, Italian, and of course home cooked meals. I enjoy cooking.
I enjoy music but not constantly and any kind is fine as long as it's not too loud. I like to go out and listen to live bands, karaoke, and of course a good dj.
Movies are a good way to spend time. It must have a plot, please! Violence is fine but to me, slasher movies are not cool. I enjoy a good Alfred Hitchcock style thriller/mystery.
I watch television but it is either the news or football. You might catch me watching Judge Judy from time to time but do not tell anyone!
I wrote a book about veteran issues and my service in the military. It is used by many as a guide to veteran benefits. Want to read it?
I enjoy short stories but not long novels.
Who I'd like to meet: Someone who is not selfish and is good coversationalist. Anyone in Massachusetts or New Hampshire who is looking for a DJ/KJ.
