"According to one song, the band got so magical by dipping its cardboard instruments into a magical pond in the forest. There was a dance-off in the middle of the set, where Gumar did fake breakdancing in his bathrobe before the band brought out its “robot” (in a costume made of cardboard boxes and tinfoil) that was “programmed to dance better than anyone in the room.” And in one of its last songs, the band made us “climb a mountain” with them, kneeling on the floor and slowly rising up, before the task grew too great and we gave up and knelt back on the floor again.

good to see you too. michael and I are about 50/50 likely to come down this weekend.
