Ha! I do the same thing: I set the wheels on my lawnmower (Push lawnmower; no self propulsion. I mow my lawn like a man) just a *tatch* lower than all the other HoMos in the neighborhood. My lovely wife always comments that my lawn, too, looks like a golf course.
The funny thing about Megadeth, besides coasting on "pedigree" and having only released about an album side's worth of good music well over 20 years ago, is that they are sort of still popular in the "metal community" because there is some perception that they never "sold out" ala Metallica's black album or more probably "Load; take your pick. Which I find odd because it completely ignores the fact that the sucked from the get go. Only a drug addled ego the size of Everest could think that *that* voice could/should front an aggressive metal band.
Have you dipped into An Albatross yet? It's like Melt-Banana meets Deep Purple. But they need a "producer".
Whitehouse! What a good band. You ever listen to, Sound Machine? They have a warning label on the inside jacket not to turn up your speakers too high on some of the songs - which I think Whitehouse has a similar warning. How great is that!
