”The life of a Rock ‘n Roll-band will last as long as
you can look down into the audience and see yourself.”
Bruce Springsteen once said.
In times of synthetic replaceable boy bands and girl groups, handmade music beyond Crossover or New Metal is rareness in today’s music scene.
The gunGIRLs. are one of these rarities. The Hamburg residents Susanna
Koska (vox), Chriss Bilger (bs), Vivienne Schumacher (keys), Nicole Welland (git) and Ingo Braeuning (dr) have been able to enthuse their audience with their range of own songs influenced by Rock and Pop music, even Country- and Blues-rock, throughout the 10-year existence of the band. Playing the local club and bar scene during the early 90s they now find themselves performing to a solid fan base in larger clubs and on festivals all over Germany.
The band members do not simply connect by their passion for music but also by a long-term friendship. And the audience can see it clearly. Lots of laughs in between songs and even a few insight views on the sometimes strange appearing minds of musicians are a great entertainment for the audience. But at the end of the day it is the truthfulness in their performance and their energy of their at least 2 ½ hour show which makes them worth going to see.
