GUNK is producer Keny Ruyter's solo project. After composing all the songs he often has some of his good friends come in and help solidify his tunes. On his recent album "Reel Kill" you may find either Kevin Burnes, Mike Westcott, Tom Whalen, or Ed Bills on guitar, and also Don Junker helping out with trumpet and Phil Westcott helping out on sax. All of these songs were composed and produced in Keny's recording studio

halloween, asian girls, cowbells, heavy metal, punk rock, FUNK, comedy, pop, satire, parody, pro. He had a single last halloween on flexible records called "abra cadaver", and this year's "halloween time" just rocks. He has released his album "Reel-Kill", which will soon be available on i-tunes featuring hit tunes "Cowbell Fever", "Punk Mexicali", "Everybody Likes The Asian Girl", and "Porcelain God". Another tune on the album, "Ranch Rangers" was given honorable mention at the 2007 Songwriters Association of Washington Awards.
What GUNK brings to the table is a clean cut comedy approach, while presenting songs that he composed entirely by himself. The music has an undoubted Red Hot Chili Peppers meets with Frank Zappa influence, yet stretches far beyond that among the genres the sounds traverse.
