   Gunplay: The Comic's Blurbs
About me:

Sandalwood, nickel and blood; folks say that’s how the West was won. For one man, Abner Meeks, that’s how a soul was lost.

Gunplay is the haunting, bullet riddled tale of a Buffalo Soldier condemned to roam the Big Empty with a hellish curse slung at his waist— a demonic shooting iron that forces Abner to kill once a day or suffer soul searing pain. His only salvation lies in earning the trust of a boy he’s never met, a boy with an agonizing secret of his own… and Abner has just gunned down that boy’s father.

This four issue mini-series invites readers to ride alongside Abner and the boy, revealing how the black cavalryman fell victim to the gun and how an adolescent faith healer brought death to an entire township. Under a scorching western sun, their hostile relationship will be transformed— with the boy not only offering companionship to a lonely soul but providing Abner with the moral compass that will guide his curse, transforming the gunman from desert nightmare to high plains folk hero.

It's already been bought'en.. Something like that. The preview. I'm talking about the preview. I purchased it and then realized March is a month and a half away, then realized that I need something to do until then. You don't have a slinky, by chance, do you?... Damn. Well, I'm excited, either way.

Congratulations!! It's REALLY good to see that even though this voting process wasn't made to weed out the crap, just show popularity; a quality book (from the little I've seen, so far) still came out of it. Well deserved, man.

Been keeping tabs on the contest. I drew the story for someone who wanted to enter, but we weren't chosen. I also read the other story you have up on DrunkDuck, and that was well done, too. The art style seems a little mismatched with the kind of story, but it's still quality stuff.

You've caught my eye (now give it back) with your comic book thingy. Sounds like a great story, and honestly, it's one of the few entries that has the art to match the strength of the writing. Anyway, even though this voting process seems screwy, yours definitely deserves the win. We are in America, though, so keep an eye on those polls.
