THE GHOSTWITCH FAMILY BAND-
With nothing more than an acoustic guitar, distortion pedal and a voice, he took the stage and bashed out a stream of dark, rowdy, riotous songs stopping only to talk trash about the current emo infestation, the lack of soul on country radio, and of course to enjoy the occasional swig of shine.
But, sometimes an idea grows too big for one man to contain and it starts to break him. So The Witch put a family together in october of 2008 to flesh out his songs and help spread the Ghostwitch Gospel. The goal was to simply kick in some teeth.
It's a band where blues legends like Howlin wolf, Charlie Patton, and Muddy Waters drink side by side with Outlaw Country heroes like Hank Sr., Johnny Cash, and Merle Haggard. Throw in a dash of The Misfits and Black Flag and you have the perfect road map for this trip into the underground of Americana.
They're currently writing and playing in the tiny, dark places where you would expect to find stale smoke, honest music, and strong drinks. Pay them a visit some time.
