About me:

(Pieces of my life recorded chronologically in photographs.)

Hi, my name's Rhonda Wilson. I love nature and am happiest when I'm out in the woods. I especially love wet places and aquatic environments. I can spend day after day walking around exploring. I also really like to bring my camera along and take photographs.

Directly related is my love of aquariums and aquatic plants. This is a life long interest and hobby that has led to my writing a monthly column called, "The Planted Tank" for Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine since February of 2005. In addition I co-authored the book The Simple Guide to Planted Aquariums, also published by TFH.

I was born in Colville, Washington and lived in different parts of Washington and in Helena, Montana while I was growing up. I spent my early 20's in Helena working as a disc jockey and in radio news. I moved to Arizona in 1989. I would very much like to move back to Washington either in the northeastern part of the state or along the coast. I always think of it as do I want the mold or the cold, lol. I'm hoping that the right circumstances will fall in to place to make my decision for me when the time comes.

My dream place is acreage with a small orchard and large well fenced garden to keep the deer out. I also like raising some poultry. At one point I thought I'd want some larger animals but have gotten realistic enough to think there's enough work in what I'm looking at already. I like wild game and fishing. I'd like to have a place where my kids and maybe some of our friends could have places too. Kind of a crazy idea but I think it could be fun and a great way to live.

I'm self employed and in addition to writing and providing photos for TFH, I also write, take photos for, and create several web pages, and sell antiques and dolls on eBay. My web pages include; Natural Aquariums at http://naturalaquariums.com, Vintage Dolls at http://vintdolls.com, Pink Depression Glass at http://pinkdepglass.com and Genealogy at http://wentbefore.com. I have several other URL's and sites in development, and sometimes work on sites for acquaintances businesses.

Who I'd like to meet:

It's always nice meeting people with similar interests. I'm happy to be myspace friends with my rl friends, family, aquarium enthusiasts, people interested in theology, philosophy, biology, botany, naturalists, outdoor lovers, bass fisherman, gardeners, homesteaders, people interested in living off the grid comfortably with internet access (lol-we all gotta dream), collectors of dolls, depression glass, vintage toys, or other antiques, or pretty much any nice folks that want to occasionally visit. Players of World of Warcraft, or Magic the Gathering. It would also be nice to politely talk about life, why we're here, and solving the worlds problems, though no one ever seems to want to talk about those things, so it's cool if you don't either.

I'm basically a pretty mellow sort of person in temperament. I pretty much figure to each his own as long as no one is getting hurt that doesn't want to be. Live and let live. I'm most annoyed by people who are intolerant or try to impose their morality or beliefs on others, regardless of whether or not I agree with those beliefs, which I probably don't.

Music:

A few tunes I enjoy. I like to play these when I'm home alone working. I like music for all sorts of reasons; I may like the words, the music, it might amuse me, or I may like to sing along or dance to it. lol
