Gurflive is the mangled monstrosity of Sam Willott and Rory Kong. The two merged 3 years back due to a shared passion for djing, clubbing and underground dance music. Their intro into the public gaze saw them embark on a London based internet radio station which was shortly followed by an invitation to play at Braindrop, one of Londons best up and coming nights.
Regular bi- residencies at Graffiti Breakz and Braindrop as well as sets alongside the likes of Pendulum, Dillinga, Skream and some of the biggest names in Breaks have earned the lads a healthy reputation on the djing circuit. They have since been sharpening their highly charged sets and infectious crowd-pleasing antics with gigs up and down the country as well as abroad. And earlier this year, saw their NSB debut on Breakspoll nominated radio show the Highheels sessions with Mjoogoo.
Despite a busy start to 2008, the boys have also found plenty of time concocting their next batch of rip-roaring tunes. Earlier this year saw the drop of Killa, which has received airplay and support from the likes of Elite Force and NSBs finest- and should get its full release later in the year. The boys are currently co-promoting a new monthly event called Electric at Raduno and have some special guests lined up from the Breaks and Tech house scene so watch this space...

Wooohaaaaa!!! Braindrop is throwing its very first boat party on Saturday 6 June.
The vessel is specially equipped to hold large groups of people (and all the extra bass bins we can squeeze on). Her name is The Dutch Master and she be a mighty fine boat too!
It's going to be ridiculously fun rinse up. However, if you think you can get away with being remotely serious and/or cool at this party - ye be mistaken. The Braindrop Boat Rave is fancy dress: Pirate's from the 80's. Arrgh...better get thinkin what ye gonna wear.
D&B / DUBSTEP / TECHNO / BREAKS / ELECTRO / HARDCORE / HIP HOP / GABBA / BREAKCORE / PSYTRANCE / RAVE... and lots more!
Tickets are £20 and you can get them from TICKETWEB.
Please, please, please, PLEASE vote London Breakbeat Orchestra for Best Live Act at the international breakbeat awards, Breakspoll, to help make 30 underpaid, hungry, breaks-lovin musicians very happy bunnies!!!
To do so just click on the banner and whack LBO in the Best Live Act category. VOTING ENDS THIS FRIDAY, 13TH FEB!!! We appreciate your help more than you can imagine and we hope to see you on the dancefloor at Fabric on the 26th.
Hi
Latest massive release on iBreaks BASS
Here we have the 5th issue of iBreaks Bass, welcoming onboard to MKM & GBX with this their first release under the iBreaks group…. And what a package…!! Surely this is the biggest, bassier, heavier, dancier release on the label so far with 2 ultra-large-full-fat enormous bass rollers.
“I Don’t think So” could prove one of the biggest tracks of 2008, and is one of those straight to the point full on Breakbeat mayhem, with no time to rest and just huge elements loaded with a ridiculous amount of energy and power. This track scared the hell out of us the first time we played it loud after being offered to us from the Brazilian duo… is heavy!!!
“Xtra Xtra” is by no means the little brother of “I Don’t Think So”. The energy levels are also well up to the top, although this time with a bit of a techier approach to the huge amounts of sub bass…
As a whole what we believe is the biggest release under the label, and one of the most powerful on iBreaks over all..

Hello to everyone - hope you are well. http://www. myspace. com/vandalisedtour Here are some details of a project I am collaborating on with some good friends of mine - I'd be grateful if you could add and spread the word where possible. The aim is to bring an annual tour to the youth of Europe that will inspire and educate and inform of alternative ways of getting involved in the music industry. The maiden voyage is under preparation with a UK tour planned in October of this year. Featuring the undisputed talents of Ocarina and The Dirty Vandals, venues and participants are required so jump on board, spread the love and we may be able to come visit you too...
Easy boyz, shame I wont be able to make it - still bashing out dissertions and all that crap for my finals. Sure I'll see you at braindrop next week if your goin. The tunes on your profile are heavy, hadn't listened to em b4 :D
