In their relatively short lifetime, Gust of Gravity have developed a habit of
delivering performances that linger with those present long after the final
note has sounded. Having been together since late 2005, the four-piece from
the far north coast of NSW has crafted a solid set of original tunes,
demonstrating their attention to complex rhythmic patterns, powerful dynamics and the ability to conjure a memorable melody. Tight yet fluid, the band can easily swing from rigid, complex song structures to a sporadic free-form jam and back again.
In 2007, the four members - Jesse Carroll, Jake Kingma, Kyle McGeary and Sam McNicol - created their debut CD 'In Superposition', working closely with good friend Sam Bartlett (Aurora Jane). The band is proud of the "in-house" nature of the six track disc, having been responsible for the production, recording and artwork of the CD in its entirety. Concieved as a larger synchronous piece, the songs have a synergy that invite the listener to hear the work as a whole, from the jarred rhythmic intro of 'Light Fumes' to the final, dramatic crescendo of 'E.I.A.P.S.'
On stage the band are dedicated to putting on an energetic show with variety
and an element of intrigue, playing numerous live gigs and festivals around
the Northern Rivers and south east Queensland, with local and national artists such as Engine Three Seven, Karnivool, Pete Murray, The Kidney Thieves, Arcane, The Sick Puppies, Operator Please and Wolf and Cub.
'In Superposition' was released independently in August 2007 through Biped
Produce, and the band are looking forward to promoting the CD and their
live show along the east coast in the latter part of the year and beyond.

Bunni Boiler Music presents a seriously lush an somewhat quirky line up Wed 4 June @ the Hopetoun Hotel in Surry Hills w/ The Decorated Generals + Damian Robison + Maxine Kauter Band + Liveroom 8pm $8 .
A seemingly eclectic yet winsome array of Sydney-bred bands will take the stage at the Hopetoun Hotel on Wed 4 June. The militia of boy fronted pop/rock, The Decorated Generals head up a tidy line-up w/ Damian Robison, Maxine Kauter Band and Liveroom lending their able support. Bunni Boiler Music marches into the Hopetoun in the usual breaking local music style.

Whilst our 2004 Demo is in no way a representation of the standard of music we make now or the quality of our recently released CD/DVD "Everyone" (which is available for purchase on our profile and in stores). It was a loved Ep and sold well in our first days as a band now we wish to give it as a Chrissy gift :-) so Enjoy!
