After the streets got a taste of the Swervin, Smokin, Chokin mix tape, not even the biggest hater could deny that Bad News and Cak G were making their mark as one of the hottest duos in the music industry. Growing up on different sides of Charlotte, NC, didnt prevent Bad News and Cak G from coming together and grinding hard to gain the respect that they deserve as independent artists. Over the years, Bad News and Cak G have been apart of other rap groups. After being introduced and rapping together in the group Down N Durty, their relationship grew and their similar visions became more evident. In 2004, they released the album Durty Feet with other Down N Durty members, but soon after that the group decided to part ways. Determined to promote themselves and become an established duo, they formed their own independent label Gutta Boy Entertainment. After spending long nights in the studio, making several visits to radio stations and burning holes in the highway for networking purposes, they were finally ready to drop the Swervin, Smokin, Chokin mix tape. Collaborations with some of the hottest rappers in NC and hosted by well known disc jockey DJ K-nyce, the tape is full of head bangers that still got the streets talking. Besides creating a street buzz, the two have showcased their talent at various clubs and at Summer Fest 2005 where they were the opening act for several major artists.
Currently, Bad News and Cak G are back in the studio working on their latest album. They are sure that their first single Bop Wit it will have the world in a frenzy. Youve been leaning and snapping to long. Gutta Boy Entertainment about to teach you a new dance, Cak G says. Other projects they are working on include three more mixed tapes and solo albums. Bad News says that their goal is to corner every aspect of the game. They are driven and determined to bring undiscovered artists and their talents to surface as well.
