I enjoy sewing, running, playing my mandolin and writing sad love songs... my dog and my cat are my babies...
I moved to Nashville in September and I really like it here. I go see Bela Fleck and the Flecktones every chance I get cuz they rock my world. I've been a vegetarian for awhile and I have a hard time making real friends that I can keep because I don't drink or make a fool of myself, which is what most people my age like to do. I end up hanging out with mostly older people - mostly guys - and the few friends I have my age are incredibly close and cannot be replaced... ever! I am shallow in that I have no interest in shallowness. My arms are wide open to anyone that wants a deep friendship connection with me.
I have an amazing boyfriend that I feel incredibly grateful to be with...
In general, my life is good.
Music
Any bluegrass, newgrass, 2002grass, live bluegrass is best, but I step out of the bluegrass and into an unknown realm because I especially love the psyhedelic sounds of Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, but it still has banjo, so it's okay... Old favorites like Ben Fold Five, The Honeydogs, Johnny Cash & Willie Nelson - you just can't write country music without genuine life experience that may or may not include jail time. I very much dislike most bars and stadiums, but I very much enjoy outdoor music and theater shows. A couple favorites since I can remember - Patsy Cline, Ricky Skaggs and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I love Harmony Park. Garth Brooks can write 'em! Old recordings of New Grass Revival. On my last couple road trips I have been scouting out country stations wherever I can find them ~ until they don't come in anymore...I just discovered Sugarland, Brandi Carlile, Lucy (I can't remember her last name) and rediscovered Ani Difranco... That "Into the Wild" soundtrack has been playing lately, Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Son Volt (but not live), Tom Waits, Jill Sobule's song called "I Kissed a Girl", Blind Melon, Bruce Hornsby, Dill Scallion, Ray LaMontagne ~~~I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND BORING, SPACED OUT, "LOOK-AT-ME-I'M-IN-A-BAND" HIPPIE JAM BANDS!!!! Shady Grove is one of my favorite recordings of all time. The white Stripes, The Raconteurs or anything involving Jack White. And most of all ~ Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, cuz them r my boys!
The Muppet Movie, Rushmore, The Songcatcher (fantastic music), Spirited Away, Dill Scallion, Mystery Men, PCU (my dog is named after Gutter), Paint Your Wagon, Tommy, Tideland ~ and anything from the kitchen of Terry Gilliam, Delicatessen, Edward Scissorhands, Pleasantville, Anything with Clint Eastwood, Popeye, The World's Fastest Indian, I'll add more as I remember them...
Television
The Muppet Show, The Simpsons, Lost, House, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, The X-Files, Bones - I guess I don't really watch a whole lot of TV because these are all on DVD ..
Books
Whatever I reads, I reads. Mostly manuals for small appliances and out of print books about metaphysics...
Heroes
Jim Henson, any tree, myself (what can I say ~ I rock), Gutter, pretty much anyone who can be sober and silly at the same time, true artists, everyone I get to know on a deep personal level because we are all just reflections of each other...
About me: Gutter's goods has changed to Pineapple Pop!
Please check out the new store at pineapplepop.etsy.com

Yay! I have tons of new items at my new store ~ pineapplepop.etsy.com! This is an exciting new change for me and I hope you can all enjoy some of my new designs here:)
I sew. That's really all I know how to do. Good thing I enjoy it, huh?
When I'm not sewing I'm usually going to festivals or other shows, eating veggie burgers, watching the Muppets, chillin' with my friends, not to mention taking Gutter to the dog park - Did I say that out loud? He's looking at me anxiously...
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone. Everyone. All of the genuine people.
Someday I'd really like to meet me.
I love bluegrass. If you have a bluegrass band I'd like to meet you. If you love bluegrass I would like to meet you. There is nothing better than finger~pickin', clog stompin', bass thunkin', fiddle wailin', banjo ringin', mando singin', moonshine influenced bluegrass.
I also want to meet all the man-hating-hairy-legged-women-liber types out there. Especially the spiteful, estrogen influenced girl bands and artists. Come on ladies ~ let's stop fighting each other become allies for the greater good!
As far as famous people go~
Bill Monroe
Sam Bush ~ I want mandolin lessons from you!!!! Please find out I exist so I can learn everything you know!!!!
John Cowan
David Grisman
Cody Kilby
can't list them all...
Brandi Carlile
Ani DiFranco
Ray LaMontagne

Cute story for ya...I have been working Bonnaroo for the last 2 years (in food). This year I let all my kids go and I stayed home and watched their kids. Last night my son, Kelly, says, "Oh yea mom, Here is a business card I picked up @ Bonnaroo. You should check her out, she has some really nice stuff." He hands me YOUR business card...LOL I thought that was pretty awesome...It truly is a "small world" :o) just wanted to share :o) HAPPY SEWING!!
Hey girl! Thanks for the add! I have checked out your pictures, and I must say, they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I have done some patchwork garments before, but nothing that intricate! Very inspiring!!! I recently started my dressmaking business, and I would love any advice you have. I've been making clothes for myself my whole life, and now that I stay home with my son, I was hoping to make a supplimental income with it! However, I do everything on a custom basis, but I have been considering making garments to sell on etsy.com, how has that been going for you? It's great for people who are buying because of all the options, but as a seller I get intimidated because there will be 1000 pages on purses alone! Take care sister! And keep up the awesome work!!!
I would buy if i had the cash as of now.. im just promoting the love! peace and TREEVIBES! yeah check it out... you can search on my page or check out the other at treevibes.com
