All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
- Pablo Picasso
There’s a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.
- Oscar Levant
If I were not a physicist, I would probably be a musician. I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music.
- Albert Einstein
To hell with reality! I want to die in music, not in reason or in prose. People don’t deserve the restraint we show by not going into delirium in front of them. To hell with them!
- Louis-Ferdinand Cline
Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.

Sounds Like
Homelessness, sleep deprivation, poverty; break ups, isolation, heartache, rejection, resentment, ex-girlfriends and lovers who never were; old westerns, the landscape of the South West, New Orleans; the darker side of lower Decatur, black coffee, cigarettes, Newcastle, Shiner Bock, Jameson, memories that won't die, the voices singing in my head...
As a life long D.I.Y. musician and an artist with a particularly broad range of influences, Guymon Adams blends elements of everything from goth, punk ametal and southern rock, to country, Mariachi, ranchero and folk. It quite literally depends on what the song calls for. Notable influences span the genres accordingly -- Clan of Xymox, Nick Cave, Glenn Danzig, the Magnetic Fields, Human Drama, Johnny Cash, Lynard Skyndard, Calexico, and more.
The debut full length solo album, "Dead Flowers & Heart Shaped Boxes" took a universal theme of heartache, resentment and redemption, and spun serious real life experiences in with a twist of dark humor and tongue-in-cheek prose, resulting in a passionate performance and a unique blend of styles. These songs have been performed live with backing players from both subNatural and Hipnautica, but have been particularly well recieved as an intimate one man acoustic act... On very rare occasions, there is even a fully "rocked out" version of Guymon's set (more of this to come following the next CD release).
Details & History:
Guymon Adams was the co-founder and principle song writer of New Orleans hardcore metal band, God's Little Toy, and is a 15 year veteran of the underground music scene. While his contributions are little known outside of the underground, he has participated in many different capacities: As a performer in his own bands as well as standing in with others. As an indie label owner and mail order distributor, running Mere Mortal Productions during the mid '90s (releasing a Joy Division tribute comp entitled "Ceremonial" among other titles), and now Medivak Records. As a studio engineer and producer working with a wide array of genres (punk to death metal to rockabilly). As concert promoter, he was one of the primary organizers of Convergence 5 in New Orleans, bringing in Clan of Xymox, the Cruxshadows, Mentallo & the Fixer, and others. He additionally hosted shows over the years for Faith & the Muse, Sub Version, You Shriek, Diary of Dreams (and stood in on guitar), and many more. And to cap it all off, he has also dabbled in other realms, as a journalist interviewing acts such as Lamb of God, and as a goth/industrial DJ on random occasions. Since Hurricane Katrina struck his former home of New Orleans, Guymon relocated to Austin, TX and had some down time from God's Little Toy. Thus, he took time to explore this solo effort, and eventually became involed in producing and hosting his own parapolitical internet radio show on the Revere Radio Network.
